that's 2 re-starts dropped by AWJ, not good enough.
Agree, thats another poor ref decision. I think with a NH ref we would have won last week, I hope the refs performance is not the main talking point again.

Re: Australia v Wales 3rd Test: Teams and Build-Up
we're not helping ourselves at the breakdown either mind. Far too passive. Nice to see Joubert penalise the Aussies for going straight down over the ball for a change mind a few mins back.

Who puked on the pitch? I heard the commentators say "The contents of his stomach came up..."
Awww Sammo...get well soon. I hope it's not like the bloody RWC semi again.
But go Tippy!

Cari - it was Sam that threw up.
Better last 5 mins at the breakdown tho, we've won a couple of turnovers at least (even if Ryan's wasn't actually all that legal!)

AAARRRGGGHHHH Why just gift them an out in their 22, Danny your better than that!
Every time we get up there we give them their exit, they don't need a strategy, they just need 3 rucks before they get a pen!!!

I thought when a player was tackled he couldn't get back up and run again?
Genia and Barnes have both done this now.

offside, Morg.
Ah mean we're killing ourselves out here though. Re-start and line out. We need a miracle to fix that at HT>

FFS, we know we can't do a DG! and that was a shocking attempt.
Loads for us to work on. We're getting better at the breakdown, and we've shown lovely glimpses of offloading play and moving up the pitch, just really need to do the basics a lot better. We're hamstringing ourselves out there.

Nonsense. Ok the ref ihas missed a couple of things but Wales are making so many basic errors we'll feel lucky not to be down by more. The lineout is a shambles and too many penalties yet again. pitiful

agree with you there mckay. We are so far our own worse enemy out there it's just not funny anymore.
Only 3 points down? I'll take that.

Re: Australia v Wales 3rd Test: Teams and Build-Up
Higginbotham smashes Phillips with a forearm nothing, 1/2p clumsily clattered by a lock nothing, Pocock wrestling players off the side of the ruck at every opportunity nothing, Aus pack lying all over the rucks nothing.
But in their defence we are just that bad, 3 restarts = 2 penalties, 1 lineout = 1 pen, and phillips boxkick dead = 1 pen.
I'm not being biased am I when I say we again have handed them all of their points?!

The Aussies are killing themselves. Loose ball carries, soft first-up tackling, dodgy lineouts. We should be miles ahead by now with all the pill and field position we've had.

So far he has missed two high tackles, one instance of crossing, two of obstruction, one late tackle, multiple orange players sealing off, multiple orange knoock ons, multiple orange offside in the defensive line, but yeah only a couple of things.

We are getting humped by the ref, so many high tackles no time on the ball to compete its all rather frustraing

I think this is actually the best Ive seen of Aus so far, they look dangerous when the ball goes wide, Barnes and Genia look sharp.
I'd say the game is going to go one of 2 ways, if Wales tighten up and straighten out the set piece they'll win, if not they are going to fall 3 - 5 points short... again!
I know which scenario I'd put my money on!

Morg - Calm down. I wasn't having a go at this forum, I meant generally. Happens a lot in internationals these days it seems. More discussion is focused on the ref rather than the teams/players. The referee should hardly be mentioned at all.
