Shhhh Hodge.
Doesn't really matter in our game, by the looks of the pitch! Should be a high scorer!!

Re: Week 9 - Voting
No Durham team however I go away for the weekend tomorrow
---------------------
Yorkshire Vs Worcestershire
Worcestershire - 138/7
Yorkshire - 135
Worcestershire do enough here, set the total and applied the brakes. Yorks threw the bat a bit to try and reach the total against the swing tying them down and lost wickets too frequently.
-------------
Lancashire - 177/5
Nottinghamshire - 180/6
Lancs should have been looking for another 15/20 more which probably would have won them the game however good death bowling from Broad and Malinga restricted them. And Notts then did enough to hold their nerve.

Re: Week 9 - Voting
Thanks for the BUMP Gregers!
Leicestershire Foxes v Durham Dynamos
Leics by default
Nottinghamshire Outlaws v Lancashire Lightning
Malinga doesn't start well and Hughes profits, but is soon undone by Pat Cummins, who is also too quick for Ryder. Mustard and Taylor score runs, but the Colonel is removed by Broad. The others don't really capitalise on pretty good batting conditions, despite 65 from Taylor. Malinga is better at the death and cleans up Taylor, and hitters like Napier and Johnson. Final scores of 164.
Lancs struggle to get in the game with the ball. Warner demolishes his Aussie team-mate Harris in a breezy 60, whilst Chapple, Napier and Johnson come on to the bat nicely. Lumb and de Villiers finish it off with 8 wickets in hand
Nottinghamshire Outlaws win by 8 wickets
Man of the Match: David Warner
Yorkshire Carnegie v Worcestershire Royals
Life is tough for Worcs early on as Bresnan exploits conditions superbly to remove KP and Amla. Bell and Solanki rebuild solidly, playing Warne well and choosing to right overs to target. They both fall in the 18th, bowled by Shahzad, leaving Shakib and Christian at the crease, who can't create a big finish. 145 only.
Sehwag loves a bit of pace and profits from Lee and Meaker's opening spells. But Junaid proves just the man for this wicket, dismissing Sehwag. Denly and Rohit have already gone too, and although Yorks are well ahead of the rate panic sets in. Shakib gets rid of Duminy and Bairstow and strangles the scoring rate, leaving Dhoni needing 13 from the last over. Two early sixes seal it.
Yorkshire Carnegie win by 5 wickets

Shelsey, I don't know if it would change your vote (hopefully not!), but Cummins is playing for Notts so he might struggle to bowl at Warner!

Sorry. Was thinking Harris and for some reason wrote Cummins! The dangers of late night posting exposed once again!

Re: Week 9 - Voting
Hampshire win - Chasing is crucial, as Hamps know exactly what they are chasing. However, the game was won by two brilliant Steve Smith catches to dismiss Buttler and Gayle as they were both looking dangerous.
Sussex win
Middlesex win - Middlesex's powerful batting line up gets them well above par, with Guptill and McCullum putting on 120 in 12 overs to get them up to 205. Finn and Rankin love the hard pitch and extra bounce, whilst Vettori gets some bits and Surrey fall 20 runs short.

Re: Week 9 - Voting
Sorry for late votes;
Sussex-Default
Hampshire-Late hitting from Dimi Mascharenas wins a high-scoring affair for Hampshire
Middlesex-Top three for Middlesex enjoy the bounce, despite valiant innings from Davies and Mahela, Finn and Vettori make good use of pitch to win game with their bowling.

Re: Week 9 - Voting
Leics vs Durham - Durham win Toss - Leics win by default
Notts vs Lancs - Lancs win Toss and bat, some good bowling at the start from Cummins followed by Broad means that Taylor and Maynard have to rebuild and retain wickets, meaning there toal isn't quite as good as hoped for. Chasing for Notts, a de Villiers special sees them home with 4 balls and 4 wickets left. Win to Notts
Yorks vs Worcs - Yorks win toss - a crucial toss to win sees Worcs lose early wickets and struggle through to 135/8, which isn't quite enough as the pitch dries out, Yorks knock off the runs 5 wickets down with an over to spare. Win to Yorks
