For a start, being part of a great team, doesn't make you a great player.

Also you can be a great championship player and not be prem standard. Looks at Gorkks, been a rock at the heart of the last 2 winners of the Championship, not prem standard though

Gunter at RB? Keiron Richardson's available for 2.5m from Sunderland. Look at Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves

Nothing wrong with aiming high. Just that the bigger clubs charge more.

Taking the best players from the relegated clubs, and the teams not picked are more likely to get a better fee though.

Hm I'm looking to strengthen my defence and for £5m(ish) they seem like viable candidates.

What about John O'shea?

No you see what he said yesterday that he wasn't fussed if Stoke bought a new winger no one can cross a ball like him. Mainly cos they don't all hit the 1st man Laugh

It would be good to have home/away counting, but it would have to be a 30 game season in order to do it fairly.

First season, it's neutral venues. Then if it's going well we can add home/away for season two OK

a 30 game season sounds fun, but if we do that then 1stseason no relegation or euro quification just a season to get our teams into shape
