Realistic Premier League
Please be aware that this week's fixture are as follows:
Stoke City v West Bromwich
Sunderland v Norwich
Aston Villa v Fulham
Newcastle Utd v Crystal Palace
West Ham Utd v Cardiff City
Please PM Hero the following (if you are playing myself then PM Nando) before the end of Friday:
1. A easy to read team sheet eg:
2. A list of 7 substitutes eg: Lindegaard, Fabio, Jones, Young, Hernandez, Welbeck, Cleverley.
3. A list of 3 injuries (not applicable in week 1) eg: Giggs, Smalling, Valencia
4. Clear tactics in a bullet point format, we advise a minimum of five lines and a maximum of ten eg:
GK - Be vocal, communicate with your defensive line at all times, instruct them at set pieces and look to catch the ball rather than punch it, look to release early onto the flanks for counter attacks.
FBs - Keep any wingers on the outside, stay on your feet and block crosses, come forward down the flank when available
CBs - Man mark the strikers, keep goal side and time tackles
CMs - Look to pressurise early, spread the ball across the pitch and dictate the pace of the game
WGs - Work with our FBs to double up down the flanks and whip balls into the box, mix it up by coming inside and dribbling into the box, look to go down easy.
SS - Play between the midfield and the main striker, link up play, hang just outside the box when there's period of pressure and look for loose balls
ST - Hang on the shoulder of the deepest CB and look to drag them out of position, anticipate the ball and look to burst into the box for crosses or one-twos.
These shall then be posted on the board and results will be posted on Monday.

Re: Realistic Premier League
Nice one guys. Go to make a choice here, I suppose I'll go for Stoke actually, fancy a bit of a challenge really.
If you guys that are interested can get your links in ASAP that'd be great.

Re: Realistic Premier League
Lets not forget, Newcastle do have other half decent players like Krul, Debuchy, Sissoko that can easily change their form soon enough. Gotta watch out for Newcastle now...Y I Man wrote:Ben Arfa best player, Cabaye scored some beltas (watch his goal v Liverpool)Hero wrote:Who's half decent this season for your lot?

Also Hero, how come it says that I am a moderator of the Sports Gaming board? Is that because I've updated something?

Yeah I will. Gonna make a couple of changes to the Rules most likely anyway, I've been in a Realistic League before, I know how they work.

Well he usually turns good sides into bad sides, turned a fantastic Swansea side into a side full of Premiership rejectsComeBackKings wrote:Thanks CF. Heard rumors that you give up on poor sides apparently? This true?

Ah right. He sounds quite the good Manager. Once you get your link in, and then I'll wait for xviperx and then I'll complete mine and we will get this underway.NickisBHAFC wrote:Well he usually turns good sides into bad sides, turned a fantastic Swansea side into a side full of Premiership rejectsComeBackKings wrote:Thanks CF. Re: Realistic Premier League
Back from work, will do my team now...few quick questions just to clear it all up.
1. Where is the best place to find the full first team for Sunderland?
2. Do players I have in on loan this season (eg. Borini) count towards this?
Once I get these answers, I'll get it ready.

Re: Realistic Premier League
I'd also advise to check Transfermarkt for a guide on player values, will certainly assist against getting fleeced.

Re: Realistic Premier League
I'd certainly advise to read up on your team, if there's a clamour for a player you don't know much about thens probably a reason.

I've got a set few who I'll be keeping no matter what but most of my team can go, I'm hoping I can scrape by on a mixture of luck and tactical craziness...I plan to be the Mike Bassett for 606v2!

I've been watching the funniest bits of that film this week. The final link here:
https://www.606v2.com/t49143-stoke-city
Right then, so now we've got all the links in, should we say we open Domestics tomorrow? Might be easiest as a lot of people might not be on through today and I feel it always works best to start on a working week. Then open Foreign's up Wednesday/Thursday. That's my idea.

Re: Realistic Premier League
Can I clarify - players in on loan are yours permanently? Or are they only on loan for the season?
