Who will Alvarez fight next?
ALVAREZ NEXT OPPONENT?
Gents,
Saul Alvarez's next opponent will be named today and it will be "History in the Making"
Who do you think he will fight, and, based on your choice, how does the fight pan out?

Cotto, I live in hope and that is history.
But if Oscar means it's going on CBS, network TV, which he thinks is a massive deal, then Lopez.
In reality, Lopez, but I live in hope.

Re: ALVAREZ NEXT OPPONENT?
Does anyone have a link to the "history I nthe making quote" as personally I haven't seen anyone say it
If its true than it HAS to be one of cotto, Mayweather or pacquiao as they are the only ones who would warrant that title.
Pacquiao won't happen due to arum as he will want chavez to upstage
Mayweather won't (or I dont think) be ready in September so it leave cotto who said he wants to fight in December next
If the quote was made up (or more likely used as a marketting tool) than it'll be Lopez, the guy who beat the guy he was suppose to fight

Re: ALVAREZ NEXT OPPONENT?
My concern is that in reality, there is no time to promote a PPV involving Cotto - not as they would want to. Still, I live in hope

Lopez, will be one sided win for Canelo if it goes ahead. Cotto is the fight everyone wants.

Re: ALVAREZ NEXT OPPONENT?
It should be Lara, Kirkland or Cotto. Let the kid fight someone worthy of a world title shot for a change.

Re: ALVAREZ NEXT OPPONENT?
Kirkland already turned it down as he was 1st choice ahead of Williams and Lara has to fight martiroysan apparently and martiroysan isn't backing down, they both seem to want the fight
Cotto makes sense and is an easy sell, who wouldn't watch a puerto Rican vs Mexican with exciting styles on Mexican independence day

Re: ALVAREZ NEXT OPPONENT?
I heard that Kirkland's people wanted $2m. They need a reality check if they think he is worth that much. He should fight him for $150k max.

Re: ALVAREZ NEXT OPPONENT?
Maybe Oscar is gonna fight him, himself. Now that would be history making, completely pointless, but History none the less.

I know, I heard about $2.5mil which is ridiculous
Only the big names in the sport get that kind of money

Re: ALVAREZ NEXT OPPONENT?
America is a couple of hours behind us so don't expect to hear an announcement anytime soon
If De La Hoya-Alvarez is on the cards it will be a slap in the face of boxing
