Just saw this clip from the Chiefs v Cruasaders match a while back.

Check out the amazing pace and acceleration from the prop Sona Taumalolo on a counter attack.

Fantastic fitness from the big man and we in the North will get to see a bit more of him as he's just signed with Perpignan for three seasons.

I dont know if he still is but up to a couple of weeks ago Taumalolo was the leading try scorer in super xv, and when you look at some of the finishers in south Africa, Australia and New Zealand rugby that is some feat.

This week Rennie has him is starting off the bench, probably the best definition of an impact player.

Auckland is he any good in the scrum as well? Annoyingly the clip finishes right before the scrum on the 5m line that he's got them!

If you want to know how he goes in the scrum, my best suggestion is to take a look at those scrums in the last five miinutes of the Tonga v france game in the World Cup last year.Taumalolo and his mates took the French front row apart.

Laurie, to be fair tho, I haven't seen him have it entirely his own way in the last couple of Chiefs' matches - but that was some run, could perhaps of kept hold of it rather than kick it, handed off and backed himself
