Olympics Day 12
First topic message reminder :
It's official - London is better than Beijing. 22 golds at this point, and it means during the Absolute Breakfast Show next Monday, the unofficial anthem of the Games, that being Gold by Spandau Ballet, will be played at least 22 times. The more golds we get, the more Gold we hear.
What will Day 12 bring?

Russia won't catch us, no way, but they always surge late on in the games. Remember them displacing GB's 3rd place in Beijing with days remaining.

I think so, at the end of Day 12 last time the score was 16-13 to us. So that's an 8 gold swing in our favour (it's like election night!)

All in all, its been an exceptional performance by GBR. The crowds have been fantastic and a true credit to the games, i wonder how many people will be horse for weeks after this

Re: Olympics Day 12
It has been a spectacular performance from GB, some outstanding performances, events have been well attended by and large (only soccer and tennis the exceptions) and the fans have been superb generating great noise.
Team GB have been a credit to their country and have done themselves and the people proud and I'm absolutley delighted with how they have done. Well done lads and lassies.
he fans have been a true credit to the games and despite my earlier cynicism I think it may have been the best in my lifetimes, don't let Ireland's great performance in the games have a bearing on my opinion!
