Announcements

Important End of Season information -- please read

STAR PLAYER BIDS ARE OPEN

Star Player bids will commence Wednesday (15th), and run to Friday (17th) at midnight, when bidding is closed. Who got who will be posted on Saturday all being well - and assuming it can't be done earlier. If you miss out initially, there will be a second round bidding process and you may make another bid on a player. All bids will be sealed and PM'd to Hero and sodhat. It should be made clear that you cannot make a big bid on a Star Player, and then not have the cash all at once. All money must be paid immediately, or you miss out. We aren't doing IOU's on it, and that applies to everyone.

To qualify for the second round you must have submitted a first round bid - you can't just wait and see what's left. If there are exceptional circumstances as to why you missed the deadline you may appeal to the runners, but these circumstances absolutely do not include "I was playing Ultimate Team for 4 days with the curtains closed."

Sign up now for the Euro Division Telegraph Fantasy Football League!

Participants: Olly, T5J, Twi5t, 5odhat, Ru55, Nando, Marky (if we spoon feed him), Greger5

Could any managers not in the two Apprentice teams please PM's a vote on the match.

I am looking for a simple vote of who would win (no score or scorers), and a short comment on why.

The tactics are here:

https://www.606v2.com/t33523-the-apprentice-task-5-the-match#1460674

Still only got one vote so at the moment Olly is having the sole say on who wins and who doesn't.

Would appreciate some more this morning.

Thanks

I am wondering whether to use the same team I did with the 6WF guys or not.

On one hand, you'll be pretty annoyed if you do a different team and your first one is doing really well. On the other, your first may suck.

I think I will do two different teams. Therefore I will suck on both fronts

I'd also argue the Russian Premier League is probably a higher quality league than the Portugese league. Some very talented players over there.

Podolski is one that I reckon will go either way. He's a good player, but he's faltered before and I'm not sure what to expect of him at Arsenal.

Who will the top 3 flops of the season of the new signings

1) Olivier Giroud (next Chamakh, only a bit better)
2) RVP (will flop when he moves to Man U/City, where he wont be the focal point. Example, the Dutch at Euro 2012)
3) Eden Hazard (for the price paid, he wont be as good as he should be)

A friend of mine has watched all the pre-season games and said Shinji has had an amazing pre-season. I think he'll nbe brilliant for 6 months then fade horribly due to there being no mid season break.

1) Kagawa - won't adapt, will get in rooney's way. Will sell lots of shirts though!

2) RVP - Move to united then get injured and not score all season

3) Allen - move to Liverpool, realise that he's not a £15-20 million player

He'll probably be tired after spending time with his adult entertainment star girlfriend!

I don't think he should be allowed to slip below the radar of flopdom though, if people are casting aspersions on established internationals like Podolski, Hazard, and Cazorla, there is no reason Shinji won't bust too.

Yeah go on. I think Bebe will have a barn stormer, netting 30 goals and ending up as player of the season. We'll sell Rooney and play Bebe and Macheda up front. Who needs Van Persie? We'll get Berbatov on too and go 4-3-3, with Evans and Fryers at CB, the Rafael brothers at FB and Ben Amos in goal. Of course, that leaves the midfield, so we'll beg Paul Pogba and Ravel Morrison back by offering them wages of £500k a week each alongside Anderson who's one of the finest midfield generals I've ever seen. Sir Alex must go as he's trying to sign good players like Van Persie and Kagawa so we'll get shot of him and replace him with Joe Kinnear as manager and Joe Jordan as assistant manager. With Sir Alex gone the Glazers will run for the hills so who better to take over the club than Craig Whyte?

The Special Juan wrote:Yeah go on.

Soon people will be calling Rooney the white Bebe.

I think Hazard may fail, that's why I sold him. His ratings are more safe in a foreign league.

I think Chamakh is a decent player when he gets given the opportunity, doesn't score many but holds the play up well and a good link up man. Like Heskey when he was good Whistle

So the top scorer charts will be:

Bebe 40
Chamakh 38
Heskey 37

I'll make sure to include all three in my fantasy team

I am biased but I think Hazard and Giroud especially will be a big hit.

Hopefully.....let's see. I am praying RVP goes.
