First topic message reminder :
Star Player bids will commence Wednesday (15th), and run to Friday (17th) at midnight, when bidding is closed. Who got who will be posted on Saturday all being well - and assuming it can't be done earlier. If you miss out initially, there will be a second round bidding process and you may make another bid on a player. All bids will be sealed and PM'd to Hero and sodhat. It should be made clear that you cannot make a big bid on a Star Player, and then not have the cash all at once. All money must be paid immediately, or you miss out. We aren't doing IOU's on it, and that applies to everyone.
To qualify for the second round you must have submitted a first round bid - you can't just wait and see what's left. If there are exceptional circumstances as to why you missed the deadline you may appeal to the runners, but these circumstances absolutely do not include "I was playing Ultimate Team for 4 days with the curtains closed."

Can't believe nobody put Steven Whittaker in the flops of the season. Even I am skeptical of how he will do

Sorry but Giroud for me doesn't suit Arsenal's style. Could be Chamakh v2 IMO. And I just don't think Podolski will adapt personally, think he will miss Germany and German football. Vethonghen was just to push you over the edge

RVP goes they will hopefully play Cazorla-Giroud-Pods. Depends i suppose on Wenger's policy. He obviously saw something in Pods and Giroud.
I agree we won't know anything until the first few games. But I would be happy if 2 of those 4 have a good start to the season.

Wenger has already said that Podolski/Giroud will most likely be bench players until a few weeks into season to get up to fitness

The dury is out on all of these signings.
No-one from Hazard, Oscar, Podolski, Vertonghen, Giroud, Kagawa or Borini is guaranteed to hit the ground running, and the pressure will grow every week they aren't on form.

True, but they don't need to start a game to have an impact in it. If RVP goes, who else will be their striker for the first few games anyway?

But if I said, ok I am selling Hazard, Pods, Vertonghen and Giroud would I then get no offers because it is too risky?

Seriously I would say:
Snodgrass - Think he is a great signing for us
Chico - Class defender
Sigurdsson - Can't believe Liverpool let him slip into Spurs's hands
Allen - Although overpaying for him, he will be a class player for Liverpool

I'm moving so slowly at work these days it's ridiculous. It's taking me so long to do anything and I invariably pop on here instead!
I need to get my head in the game somehow. I have absolutely no attention span left.

Contracts, projects, and the odd meeting generally. It's all to do with facilities/buildings. It's a bit repetitive, I probably went on to auto-pilot some time ago, but I do need to snap out of it somehow...

I once sneezed during an interview, and snot came out of my nose and went everywhere. I didn't have a tissue either, so the guy had to grab me one.
And you know what? I got the job. I'm still here...

I remember my interview at United, they asked me why I should get the job and not the next guy who comes in. I said that I'm a United fan and go to as many games as I can...

I felt a bit guilty when I got home after my interview. I was sitting next to a guy at reception who was going for the same job as me. He was a nice guy, and we got chatting before I got called in.
Anyway the interview was pants for me. Still, knowing that the guy was following me in, I was all smiles when I went out of reception. He looked a bit nervous actually, so as I walked though the door I turned round and said "you haven't got a hope mate. It's in the bag."
Dunno what happened to his interview but I got the job

Mind games in an interview setting? I can see how they would work actually.
I haven't done many interviews really, only four I can remember in fact. One was a job at a barristers chambers as a sort of errand boy when I was 18, and I was so very disinterested through the whole thing that I felt bad that I had wasted their time!

Decision made.
I hate this bit as the submissions are brilliant and reall good to read. It's actually really tough to call and I'm sure everyone has a different opinion.
However, I went with my gut feel
