First topic message reminder :
Star Player bids will commence Wednesday (15th), and run to Friday (17th) at midnight, when bidding is closed. Who got who will be posted on Saturday all being well - and assuming it can't be done earlier. If you miss out initially, there will be a second round bidding process and you may make another bid on a player. All bids will be sealed and PM'd to Hero and sodhat. It should be made clear that you cannot make a big bid on a Star Player, and then not have the cash all at once. All money must be paid immediately, or you miss out. We aren't doing IOU's on it, and that applies to everyone.
To qualify for the second round you must have submitted a first round bid - you can't just wait and see what's left. If there are exceptional circumstances as to why you missed the deadline you may appeal to the runners, but these circumstances absolutely do not include "I was playing Ultimate Team for 4 days with the curtains closed."

Hey Tooze.
That Izaguirre thing is just a rumor, and the fee of £5M is not something that sounds like we would pay

Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage XXV
Who wants to hazard a guess at how their team will line up on the first day? I'm trying to work out West Ham at the moment. I reckon we'll be fairly classic Allardyce so something like:
-----------Jaaskaleinan
Demel---Tomkins---Reid---McCartney
---------------Diarra
-----------Noble---Nolan
Maiga----------------------Vaz Te
---------------Cole
We never beat Villa though. I remember too many games against them that ended in disappointment. I remember Harewood got a hat-trick against them once though. Wonder if they ever lived that down?

My wife says she's leaving me because of my obsession with Football Manager.
In my defence, I've got Dani Alves, Kompany, Vidic and Lahm.

I reckon we will line up 4-4-1-1 as that is what Hughton played a lot at Birmingham.
Like Tooze says we never beat Fulham, so I would take a point

My wife wanted to talk to me about how long I play Football Manager. I didn't want to go to the meeting so I sent my assistant manager.

Snoddy not as a winger?
No place for Hoolahan I see - is he injured? I was always impressed with him when I caught him last year.

Hoolahan picked up a knock, and that is why he had to pull out the Irish squad. So I dunno whether he is fit enough. And Snoddy has played in behind the striker a lot in pre season, and if Wes isn't fit, I reckon he will start there. If Wes is fit, I should imagine he will start maybe with Snoddy on the right wing instead of Benno

Ah I see. Impressively British line up you have nonetheless! It may or may not be a good thing...
I see you've made it into the NFL Fantasy thing on here though. You're in the west so we can dream of a meeting in the Superbowl!

I think that's why we didn't go back in for Naughton, was because Spurs quoted too much cash. I would like us to bring in a couple of loanees, maybe a striker and a centre half

We have an impressively British squad. Now Ayala is out on loan, and Whitbread was released, Simeon Jackson from Canada is the only player in our squad that comes from outside the UK and Ireland. It means we will show a lot of grit and determination for sure.
I think last season away at Spurs we were the first team for like 6 years to field a starting XI made up of English players in the Premier League. (Russ Martin parades as a Scotsman, but is actually English)
I have never done a fantasy NFL thing before, so I reckon I will come last behind Cherries probably

Wes should be back in training this week, but I cant see him being fully fit for Saturday though.
I cant see Holt starting either until he is fully fit, Hughton didn't look too impressed by him on Saturday.

That is true, but I weren't there on Saturday. I doubt Hughton will go with two up front, I reckon it will be either Holt or Morison with someone in the hole behind. Howson and Johnson seem to be the CM pairing, since Foxy Baby isn't fit after his injury

Cherries will load all his hopes on Matt Flynn and lose...
I may load all mine on Darren McFadden and lose however. If he stays fit he could lead the league though.

It's done via a draft process, so McFadden might be gone before you get a pick
I think I am just gonna end up picking the names I recognise and hope for the best. I'm not that knowledgeable about the whole of the NFL.
Also I reckon you will lose to Villa too.

I'm sure you mean hope we lose to Villa... It'll probably be a draw but I'm never optimistic against Villa, I'm conditioned against it.
I'm not massively knowledgeable either, I'll be picking those I know only. Everything I read makes it sound like a massive deal...people making draft boards and stuff. I'm going in cold and taking whatever is there.
