The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage XXV
First topic message reminder :
Star Player bids will commence Wednesday (15th), and run to Friday (17th) at midnight, when bidding is closed. Who got who will be posted on Saturday all being well - and assuming it can't be done earlier. If you miss out initially, there will be a second round bidding process and you may make another bid on a player. All bids will be sealed and PM'd to Hero and sodhat. It should be made clear that you cannot make a big bid on a Star Player, and then not have the cash all at once. All money must be paid immediately, or you miss out. We aren't doing IOU's on it, and that applies to everyone.
To qualify for the second round you must have submitted a first round bid - you can't just wait and see what's left. If there are exceptional circumstances as to why you missed the deadline you may appeal to the runners, but these circumstances absolutely do not include "I was playing Ultimate Team for 4 days with the curtains closed."

Dominic Wood was chucked out of the Magic Circle for revealing secrets when he was younger.

God I am so happy that Ruddy got his cap.
And he actually pulled off some pretty solid saves, didn't look out of place at all

Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage XXV
Which was the better bargain?
Kaka for £16m (£17m after Nando made the TP for Olly and got a small profit!)
or
Tevez for £20m
If Kaka can regain even a small part of his form then i'd say him, but he needs to leave Real Madrid first. Linked with a return to AC Milan though.

And if anyone's bored today, you could always vote on a couple of pre-season friendlies? Tactics on Page 2 of the Pre Season Friendlies page, just a score and scorers would suffice

I'm ok for DM's, Gonalons is a very good player but I wouldn't pick him ahead of Toulalan or Essien, and that's if either of those break up Khedira and Schweinsteiger!
How many star player bids are in? I'm getting impatient...

Yeah Kaka could do with a move away from Madrid, but last season he still got 8 goals and 14 assists for them which ain't exactly shabby. Although I must say Tevez is looking real good for the new season

Tevez and Aguero.
Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage XXV
Tevez and Aguero purely because RVP and Rooney ain't played a game together yet. Also look what they did together at the end of last season, they destroyed Norwich with ease

It'd be like saying Peter Crouch is the best striker in the world because he scored v Crawley Town last season...

It is hardly an achievement, cos our defence last season was as good as my school teams one for the most part. Thank god we could score goals. I think we scored the most outside the Top 6, but conceded the most outside the bottom 3. Goals goals goals

Angelo Henriquez, although not sure it's worth signing him as he'll probably not be a first team squad member.

He's being loaned straight back to the club they signed him from I believe. Won't be very visible - I'm not sure many here follow the Chilean league.

Ok, this is my offer for people who have a TP remaining
Sign Lamela for me, and I will re-imburse you the £13m plus Adam Maher (U21 midfielder, worth £5.7m and handy for the cup).

Olly, go to Advanced Search, select age from 17 to 20, set the minimum price at £875k, and Search. You'll get a list of them all from most expensive down.

After being a theiving turd, you need the money.
I can tell you that you are winning your star player at present too, so if you don't get the money he goes to the next highest bidder. And there is one.
