Important End of Season information -- please read

STAR PLAYER BIDS ARE OPEN

Star Player bids will commence Wednesday (15th), and run to Friday (17th) at midnight, when bidding is closed. Who got who will be posted on Saturday all being well - and assuming it can't be done earlier. If you miss out initially, there will be a second round bidding process and you may make another bid on a player. All bids will be sealed and PM'd to Hero and sodhat. It should be made clear that you cannot make a big bid on a Star Player, and then not have the cash all at once. All money must be paid immediately, or you miss out. We aren't doing IOU's on it, and that applies to everyone.

To qualify for the second round you must have submitted a first round bid - you can't just wait and see what's left. If there are exceptional circumstances as to why you missed the deadline you may appeal to the runners, but these circumstances absolutely do not include "I was playing Ultimate Team for 4 days with the curtains closed."

Sign up now for the Euro Division Telegraph Fantasy Football League!

Don't think so. I offered Torres around and people should have broke the bank to get him. Fact is I now have a midfielder who has 5 assists in two games and a striker coming back to form. Both of which play for the same team.

Frankly the offer would have to be hugely in my favour mate.

Ivanovic is more prolific this season than Torres, Rooney, Van Persie, Adebayor, Tevez, Aguero, Balotelli, Dzeko, Cisse and Jelavic. FACT.

So good start to the season for Go-ahead Eaaagles Whistle

How much confidence boosting does Torres need?
He finished top scorer of the Euros.
He scored v Barca in the Champions League semi final
He's lost his main threat for the striker role at Chelsea in Drogba
Yet he's still low on confidence? This lad need to go on some character building course or something, get a grip lad.

He finished top scorer of the Euros.

With Spain's midfielders laying the chances on a plate for him, I could have been top scorer.

He scored v Barca in the Champions League semi final

Again, that goal was something most people would have scored

He's lost his main threat for the striker role at Chelsea in Drogba

Yeah, but he still isn't top dog. The ghost of Drogba is still there.

Understand what you are saying though, but these foreign fella's are tempremental Laugh

I'm not bitter, I was mostly amused at the notion of a ghostly Drogba starting ahead of Torres. He'd give defenders chills.

Wish I'd picked Hazard in my fantasy team now. I told my mate he was good and now he's above me in the league.

Villa looked sharp to me, no question

Be interested to see how Barca balance their attacking options this year, they have much more of a squad feel to them than previously when it felt a bit weak below the starting XI

Ha, I was about to post the same thing Hero.

I agree with the point in there though, I prefer to step back from the politicking and talking up of players, but particularly talking down of rivals players. I trust people to make sane judgements based on what they've seen and the way the tactics deploy players rather than what they are told.

He looked hungry, as soon as he came on you just knew he would score, which is ironically back on the mention of Torres, Villa was virtually oozing confidence as he walked onto the pitch, he was like a male Peacock at the start of mating season.

He looked more like a footballer that was relieved to still have his legs on...

But he played well and I was impressed by the link play between him and Alba on the left. Tough to see past Barca in that league this year, even if the new manager is a bit of an unknown quantity.

No need to tell us all about every goal you're players score because i'm not that bothered about a couple of games. I don't know how many goals Ibrahimovic, Di Maria, Dzogaev and Muller have scored. I don't care either. If it's 10 (games) in and they haven't scored then i'd maybe be concerned but people who rate players on a couple of games are idiots.

And my answer is.....not idiots trebs at all. We can only base it on current and previous form, but not too far back. Fact is the players mentioned have either got assists and/or goals. Am I saying Torres is on par with Cisse? Not exactly. But I am not going to vote Cisse x 2 simply because of last season's form.

Did anyone actually watch PSG the other day?

They were turgid. They had no Ibra, and they just didn't carry the goal threat. I don't think they are going to be up there in the Champions League on that showing, at least.

Better than I got. Think I had an A in History, B's in Science, English, P.E., and C's in Media, German, Maths.

Science and English used to be double awards, so it was two B's in each of them in my day.

Yeah I remember the double awards (Beowulf for English......yawn). Didn't you have to do Design and Tech as well? I was also in the year when they first changed A Levels to AS/A2 Levels. Which basically meant I missed out on the usual doss about for the first year/work your backside off for the second year, that previous sixth formers had.

We did Wuthering Heights and some rubbish poems for English. We had to do a DT based course, and I did Electronics, which I got a C in. I was never much good with the hands on stuff.

I suck at DT. More of a History and English man. I got my A* in History, which was all about the Nazis. Hope that don't say too much about me...

Norwich is a heavily fascist town, clearly.

My History exams were part Nazi, part USA in the 1920's. An odd mix.

Was your C in maths? Everyone gets a C in maths.

My history exam was about crop rotation in the 12th century or something, it was the most mind numbingly boring subject matter ever.

Good player, but too much spent. I don't think he'll be a flop, but we probably could have spent that money on a full back or two...

I was mentioning Jarvis earlier in the summer to people as a possible West Ham target because he has good delivery from the wings.

That's a riduculous amount of money for him purely because he's based already in England.
