Important End of Season information -- please read

STAR PLAYER BIDS ARE OPEN

Star Player bids will commence Wednesday (15th), and run to Friday (17th) at midnight, when bidding is closed. Who got who will be posted on Saturday all being well - and assuming it can't be done earlier. If you miss out initially, there will be a second round bidding process and you may make another bid on a player. All bids will be sealed and PM'd to Hero and sodhat. It should be made clear that you cannot make a big bid on a Star Player, and then not have the cash all at once. All money must be paid immediately, or you miss out. We aren't doing IOU's on it, and that applies to everyone.

To qualify for the second round you must have submitted a first round bid - you can't just wait and see what's left. If there are exceptional circumstances as to why you missed the deadline you may appeal to the runners, but these circumstances absolutely do not include "I was playing Ultimate Team for 4 days with the curtains closed."

Sign up now for the Euro Division Telegraph Fantasy Football League!

Participants: Olly, T5J, Twi5t, 5odhat, Ru55, Nando, Marky (if we spoon feed him), Greger5

Yeah but Ramirez isn't English so it means he's rubbish anyway. Obviously.

Bet Jarvis is looking forward to crossing to Carlton. He'll get a good 2, maybe 3 assists. All year.

My parents were happy enough with my results. I have a smart sister who did well intellectually so it took the heat off me. Hopefully she'll have kids soon and it will work in a similar way.

The worst grade I got was in my RE exam. I think the subject was Judaism and the student who got the highest grade was an atheist lol.

Why is this news? As if him saying it was offside makes it even more offside than it already was? As if it somehow affects what has already happened in some way?

My worst GSCE grade was an E in Business Studies. Its mainly because I spend the lessons playing Stick Cricket on the PC. But it knocked my confidence to the point where I didn't take part in Afro's Apprentice Sad

There was a question in the RE exam that I didn't know the answer to.

Name one thing a Jew is prohibited from doing in his/her religion?

I answered "Talking to a German"

Oh how silly it seems now I look back on it lol.

There was a kid in my class who was born in France and could speak and read french but for some reason he said he didn't want to choose french as a subject as its too easy and he prob won't learn anything new. What a waste! That would have been the easiest GCSE ever.

I've been experimenting with some wacky formations based on feedback and too much time on my hands:

--------------Ochoa
-----Caceres---Pepe---Sakho
---------Ramires---Busquets
-------------Moutinho
Sanchez----------------------Rodriguez
----------------Ozil
---------------Cavani

---------------Ochoa
Caceres----Pepe----Sakho----Mathieu
--------------Busquets
---------Ramires---Moutinho
----------------Ozil
---------Sanchez---Cavani

----------------Ochoa
Caceres----Pepe----Sakho----Mathieu
-----Ramires---Busquets---Moutinho
------------Ozil------Sanchez
---------------Cavani

Do any of these work for people? I like to muck about with formations for games!

I have to say Soddy the second formation I love (the diamond), but you would need attacking FB's to offer the width in attack. I think I might play some diamond this season.

I don't think it gives natural width and it can be stifled too easily. It leaves the FBs with a lot to do all game and particularly if they send their FBs to attack too.

Not to say it doesn't work though.

I think a lot of the time in defence it becomes sort of a 4-3-1-2, where one of the midfield three goes out to help the FB the side the ball is.

But if attack, if you have good technical players, and attacking FB's, you will always score goals with it. I love the formation tbh

De Jong
De Rossi---Toure

Higuain---Villa

Probably suits your team with the full backs Hero, and the midfield three can go both ways.

I was looking at the way Italy played in the EC and how it would suit my team:

-----------Ochoa
Caceres---Pepe---Sakho---Mathieu
-------------Busquets
---Ramires---Moutinho---Thiago
-----------Ozil
------------------Cavani

Could work in my opinion, just need an attacking RB

I might change my formation every week just to f*ck you all up with your scouting - last season after all, worth some risks!

How's this for the reboot?

25 Pools

Each pool contains 16 players in the same position of ranging ability/price, on a certain day all 25 pools are listed on the league and it's requested that everyone then orders those 25 pools in preference of how they would like to receive them.
Everyone is then drafted a number and according to that number each player pool is then allocated based on the order in which they ranked the player. Does that make sense?

So with the following:

Pool 1

Steve Mandana
Rui Patricio
Julio Cesar
Thibaut Courtois
Salvatore Sirigu
Fernando Muslera
Emiliano Viviano
Vicente Guaita
Marc-Andre ter Stegen
Michael Vorm
Tim Krul
Maarten Stekelenburg
Bernd Leno
Sebastien Frey
Diego Alves
Rene Adler

Bull is drafted 1 and his 1st choice in that pick is Thibaut Courtois
Cherries is next and he had Vorm at the top of his list so he gets him.
Olly is next, he had Vorm first, then Courtois but then Krul so he gets him.
And so forth.

For the second pool then Bull is dropped to bottom of the list and Cherries is first and it continues in that vein.

What does everyone think?
