Giroud really is a waste. Why not play Walcott or Podolski through the middle and have Rio/Evans on their heels.

They're supposed to cheer a guy who basically maneuvered the club into selling him to their big rivals?

He wouldnt be a waste if Arsenal actually played to his strengths and got crosses in. His movement in the box is really good but they never cross the ball!!!!!!!

Sorry but in the formation Arsenal use put a proper winger out there to give you some edge and directness in the final third

Maybe Wenger plans to unleash a jaded Walcott at a tired Evra.

It'll be good if they unleash him when they are already losing by god knows how many.
Valencia against Santos is just such a mismatch

And you go into a game expecting to be losing heavily in the 2nd half.
That may be Norwich's plan Olly, but other teams think positively

Well clearly not. But it's obvious that if you put Walcott/Arshavin up against Evra they will tear him apart. He is proper dump.

Not sure I've ever seen a poorer arsenal side, they were toothless in attack and full of mistakes at the back.
Wengers team selections and subs left a lot o be desired.
Also their fans were awful towards rvp.

I don't think any team looks forward to playing an Allardyce side and Man City will be no exception. If City play anything like they have in their last two matches then West Ham have a chance of getting something. Be positive CF!

Bit of a gap opening up at the bottom. 5 points between 17th and 18th. A draw in the QPR/Reading match tomorrow does neither team any favours. All of a sudden Norwich are up to 15th place. What a difference a fortnight makes.

7 points from 9 and a league cup quarter final. Not a bad two weeks for the mighty yellows!!!
On a side note I have a new found admiration for Stoke fans. You have to be dedicated to watch that dross week in week out

Re: 2012/13 Premier League discussion thread
Good win from villa today, needed it, with united, city and arsenal to come this month.
Westwood played well, first league start.
Benteke and Ireland played well to from what I hear.
Most people and fairly so will say we have 3 defeats coming up.
Being realistic I would be happy with 3 points from these games.
A win from one of them, or three draws would be good results for us.
Sadly I see three losses, but you never know.
Will be interesting to see how we get on.

The way results have been panning out you'll probably take four points from them three games! Arsenal are certainly beatable - especially at home. There is no real pressure to take anything away from these games so anything whatsoever will be a bonus. I think Villa will be fine but it depends what your expectations are in terms of where you finish? I'd say anywhere between 10th and 14th constitutes a good season for Villa. Alot of work to be done there for sure.

Re: 2012/13 Premier League discussion thread
It's an interesting one freek..
We've been playing well in some games, but not getting the results.
Today played well and got the results.
If we can get 3/4 points over next 3 games I'd be delighted.
If we can get results against teams around us, then we can push on, maybe even put a little run together, maybe.
10th would be a great finish, compared on last season, probably bit ott.
See who we sign/sell in January.
We'll be ok this season. Lambert is a decent manager(heard a few villa fans saying they wanted him out). Shocking. Not sure what team they think we are.
Again, great to get the win today, looking forward to the big test that is utd at vp.

How can they want him out after like 2 months??? Look at what he came into, a pretty dire squad with bang average players on huge wages. He is doing a good job turning you round, these things take time

Norwich's next three games are Reading away, Utd at home and Everton away. I have a bad feeling about Reading next week. I would take 2/3 points from those fixtures

It's quite a fall from grace for Villa bearing in mind they were regular European qualifiers under Martin O'Neil what 3 or 4 years ago.

Unsustainable spending though. They had the chance that season to get fourth didnt they? Didnt get it when they really should have, and it has hit them financially ever since

Listen to Tony Pulis's interview tonight on Match of the Day complaining about Snodgrass and diving by Norwich. Yet I can tell you being at the game that his Stoke players were dreadful for it. All Charlie Adam did was dive and how 6ft 7 Peter Crouch can go down like a sack of potatoes at the slightest touch is embarassing

Re: 2012/13 Premier League discussion thread
Give it a season or 2 and hopefully we'll be back up there again.
Since o'neil left, we've had 2 managers who were poor.
Give lambert time he'll turn us around.
We actually don't have a bad a squad as people think.
Will be interesting to see who lambert brings in, in January.

Re: 2012/13 Premier League discussion thread
Feel for Lambert, as Olly said he's come into a team that is full of average players with a handful of promising young talent, such as Albrighton and Bannan.
Benteke is a good signing, but I expect Bent to leave which will be a shame as he is a genuine goal scorer but clearly doesn't fit into Lambert's plans. Hopefully Agbonlahor can stay fit, when's on form he's quality.
If he can get a bit of funding in January to bolster the squad, bring in a cm and a couple others and they'll be fine imo.
