Yeah, the fielding certainly has left alot to be desired. Still the chances are being created and things must surely stick soon.

Oops.
Great catch from Jacques. What did the six mean? Is that how many times he has got Trott now?

well that's that, great ball from Steyn and Kallis takes a fine catch. Good innings from Trott but England have lost now

If England let Tahir settle, a 6th wicket is just round the corner. They have to take some calculated chances against him to put him off a bit.

Trott will be disappointed with himself this series for a) Consistently getting out to Steyn and b) Getting in several times, but never going on to make a hundred which is not the England of old.

Funny thing is, tailenders with nothing to lose can be damaging

second slip, diving to his left. Steyn got one to just bounce a bit more and Trott edged it fast and high. Great snag.

They can , but they don't get 200 ...
Hope they play with purpose and aggression , but I will be disappointed if they get out to crazy shots and get bowled out for 170 odd ...would be a bit of a waste of the good work of Trott and Bairstow.
As I've said all day , they can't win , but the longer they can keep up the chase the better for morale going forward.
And for the crowd.

Re: England v South Africa, Lords, 3rd Test Thread
The interesting thing about that Trott wicket was that it was Steyn's first ball of the new spel, and it was a terrific ball to be completed by a fine catch too.

Another over of English dominance, 188 to go. Can these 2 cut the target to two digits, is Stuart Broad just a superior version of Ian Botham?

That run rate is decreasing now. It is just a matter of wickets lasting now.

Steyn has accounted for Trott so many times. Think LBW was the prefered form of getting him for Steyn, this time for a change he did him in with bounce and Kallis took a fine catch. Yes, cricinfo says this is the 7th time Trott got out to Steyn.

Broad and Prior going for it, may not last long, but some good funn. Reverse sweep there from Prior, trying to put Tahir off, he better do that, had a bit of trouble against him.

My office is downstairs and the stream is too slow, I have 3G but it struggles and I hate it when it gets buffeing and stuck.

erm nope Imran, if it pitches a foot and a half outside leg it can't really be out LBW. Then a bit of petulance from Tahir: Prior pulls out of a delivery because of too much chitchat so Tahir does the same next ball. Prior unamused, tempers a bit frayed.

Tahir wins the award for "most ridiculous appeal in recent memory" - I think even Warnie would have been too embarassed to appeal for that...

That was fun ...don't know which I liked better , Broad's six or the Prior reverse sweep ...good few minutes.
And nothing silly either , just good aggressive cricket.
