Week 4 discussion thread
First topic message reminder :
Week 4 opens with the Browns heading to Baltimore
The Browns have struggled thus far, but are the Ravens vulnerable after a big win over New England?
Also the much awaited return of the regular refs.

Yeah, that annoyed me. He was getting praised for throwing it away while the Browns D got no credit. Kinda annoying after a while.

Fred Jackson starts for the Bills and Spiller also plays. Stafford is active for the Lions.

On a similar note, is it just me or does the Seattle-St Louis game look really washed out colour wise. Watching it on Redzone, seems really odd compared to the other games

I think that of the Falcons field... it seems very shiny as if it was wet.
Nice and happy with the Amendola fake FG TD as I started him in some non 606 leagues.

The Jets are getting hammered by the 49ers. The Bills vs Patriots is very interestingly poised.

A little bit disappointed the 49ers didn't try to score there at the end being so close to the endzone.

Re: Week 4 discussion thread
A good divisional win for the Falcons to go 4-0. They may have just taken a huge step towards winning the NFC South. Matt Ryan has to be one of, if not, the MVPs so far this season.Take it to the house wrote:Great drive by the Falcons there
The Patriots looked back to their best when blowing away the Bills in the 4th quarter. They have a much stronger running game this season. The Texans keep quietly moving along. It will be interesting to see them against a stronger side although they did well against the 49ers in preseason.
Surely now it's Tebow time in New York?

Any other Golf and I completely agree, but the Ryder Cup is close to unbeatable for drama!
Just started my ACA, got first 2 exams next Monday! Which are you doing?

Brady and the Pats turned it on in the end.
Defence creating turnovers, however gave up major yardage, need to sort out the middle of the field

Classic Buffalo, looked good but couldn't maintain it. 4 picks for Fitzpatrick too, he's the definition of an erratic QB!
Oakland got blown out. I was watching Redzone on gamepass and the golf on the TV so I didn't sit through the entirety of the Raiders game but any time I saw us on Redzone we looked terrible. We can't defend a pass, and we were soft on the run. Add in our toothless offence and we stunk up the place. Still, Palmer didn't throw any picks which is something. We need to get something going on offence and the only guy looking like sparking at the moment is Denarius Moore.

Re: Week 4 discussion thread
I'm still angry at the game last night. I don't give a damn about the Barden penalty at the end because we were flat as roadkill on that drive and without the dodgy PI call on Asomugha we would have kicked the FG 3-4 yards closer and as those who watched know that would've been enough for the win.
So frustrating.
So frustrating.

Much like the Giants know how to beat the Giants, the Eagles just know how to beat the Giants.

The Eagles must be the luckiest team of the season. They should really be 0-4 but somehow they are 3-1.

I think the eagles will be patchy all season, talented but remind me of detroit, mainly because their quarterback and defensive front are very overrated

Re: Week 4 discussion thread
Can't believe the Cards were able to pull out the win. I was worried as hell after Peterson recovered the ball and ran it 61 yards to the 3 yard line because I knew our RBs probably wouldn't be able to punch it in -- and they couldn't' and Kolb then threw that terrible interception (no interference called after Fitz was shoved in the back). And then next play the Dolphins bomb it down the field for a TD. I was about ready to turn the game off. Thankfully, Kolb leads them down for a score on 4th down to tie the game (they had two do-or-die 4th down plays). An interception and a field goal later, they finally eeked out a win.
Man, but Tannehill and Hartline were the dynamic duo. 400 something yards passing and 250 something receiving. Thank God no one in my league has Hartline -- he had a monster fantasy day.

Re: Week 4 discussion thread
Romo's problems stem from having a terrible offensive line (well, and Bryant avoiding the ball like it's radioactive), which all comes back to Jerry Jones being the GM. The Cowboys teams of the 90s had an awesome line and everything they were able to do stemmed from that. Romo has a patchwork line with a former Dolphin's lineman they picked up off waivers. Former Cowboy great Nate Newton was very critical of their current line saying that 2 of them can't play and the others are lower tier talents at best.

Re: Week 4 discussion thread
It says a lot about the Packers' reserve quarterback situation when our punter has better throwing stats than Graham Harrell.
