2 4s of the last 2 balls ruined an over that was shaping up well for England.

This really getting irritating from Finn, yet again he knocks the bloody stumps down!.
But if he keeps picking wickets like this, we can live with it!!!.

There's the big wicket! Finn has his second and McCullum is gone. Fantastic start for England, just what we needed!

and the biggest scorer of the tourny has gone cheaply.
Luckily for NZ they have a bucket load of great batsmen waiting to come on.

No Taylor, its Kane Williamson. Taylor doesn't seem to be getting it.

shame we didn't make this change before the Windies because i'd say we're out of this tourny already due to that loss.
can you see us beating sl? nah.

Swann strikes in his first over. England very much in charge. Will Taylor front up at least now?

After 8 overs, NZ are going at less than a run a ball, England firmly in charge.

Good start from Broad. New Zealand struggling a bit. 3 wickets and just 46 after 8 overs.

58/3 at the halfway stage. At some point, New Zealand will have to lay it on the line to keep their World Cup hopes alive.

Re: T20 World Cup: Live Matches Discussion
New Zealand never got going in this innings, and England are very much in charge. I don't think New Zealand have the bowling to defend 130.
Anything below 160, England should fancy their chances. NZ have Vetori, and Williamson and Nicol can bowl spin, but I don't think that is going to be enough to challenge England. Franklin with a big hit. New Zealand would need many more of those.

Briggs has lost it in his final over, 16 runs off it. Hasn't really shown why he's a better option than Samit today, Briggs will be disappointed.

ah that over was the turning point.
if we'd shown any sign of being able to bat under pressure this past year i'd feel happier

Briggs 1-36, Samit Patel had 1-38 against the West Indies the other day on a day when England picked up their first wicket at a score of 103.

Re: T20 World Cup: Live Matches Discussion
oh yes they are really taking the minnows apart now. poor old eng, just not quite at the level of the big boys.
england may have kept a lid on them but the failure has been to take wickets, meaning they had men in and no pressure late in the innings so could then expose our bowlers and get the score past the 70 needed to beat england on a good day.

It's Franklin doing the accelerating, not Taylor as we all thought. England need another wicket here to check NZ's late progress. Finish strong, England!

If Finn's finishing bowling now, does that mean Bresnan will bowl the last over?

Re: T20 World Cup: Live Matches Discussion
Franklin misses out on a 4 as Finn knocks the stumps down!. This really is getting ridiculous, I think he should be called for no ball, its not the mistake of the batsman.
Moreover, the England coaching staff will have to take some responsibility.

Re: T20 World Cup: Live Matches Discussion
I agree, if Finn kicks the stumps then it's a no-ball. NZ have been robbed of 3 runs there. Besides that, great bowling from Finn. 4-0-16-3.

Re: T20 World Cup: Live Matches Discussion
Finn lucky that the four he conceded was cancelled out because he dislodged the bails again while bowling. That rule unnecessarily favours the bowler...

But the rule could go for the batsman too, like it did for Graeme Smith when he was out to Finn but he kicked the stumps over

Re: T20 World Cup: Live Matches Discussion
would this be considered a reasonable score thus far from NZ?
170 seems to have been par but conditions must have changed?
as i say it nz get an easy 6. Nasser reckoning NZ sniffing victory. Must be a good score then.
and then 4. ok so the have opened up. england in trouble if they bat the way they have been.
