Toulouse v Tigers
First topic message reminder :
What Leicester will need all available ooomph up front to confront the opposition.
And therein lies the problem with Croft, Parling, Salvi, Newby etc. all doing bit-parts in Casualty, you'd have to say the Tigers' chances are slim to say the least.
All that without the knowledge that Owens is the ref.
An LBP would be an outstanding performance.

Owens is having a shocker. He has no idea what is going on in the scrum or at the breakdown. He's now letting the crowd ref and just ticking boxes.

Cracks me up how the tigers fans dominating this thread have made hardly any mention of the fantastic finish by the Tolouse 12 for their try. Swept that one under the carpet eh boys? CMON TOLOUSE!!!

Johnson stands up and Tolouse get the penalty. Told you Owens had lost the plot.
What's there to say, It's a nice kick and then just a pacey finish. From a Tigers point of view It's a gift from sloppy handling.

If we are going to moderate people for being one sided in their views, we might as well close this site down because there will never be any threads!

Not true. Just trying to balance up the thread a little - I happen to think Toulouse are the better team so far. This would never come across otherwise, it is getting lost amongst the continual complaints against the ref from tigers fansnathan wrote:tatterd wrote:you should be "modded" for your one eyed nonsense and refusal to give your opponents due credit for a fantastic 3rd quarter performancenathan wrote:come on mods, sort this out please. So because we haven't continually said that Toulouse have been the better team none of us think it? I'm sure Toulouse fans are moaning about the ref too!

In the first 50 Tolouse were stuffed at every scrum to the point where Johnson was standing up or dropping it every time. Owens had his melt down so Cockers changed the props but Cole going off has weakened the scrum so we have lost the upper hand.
Nice kick on Ben Youngs face by the Tolouse prop. Following his captains knee to the face of Tom earlier.

Re: Toulouse v Tigers
Biltong that is a bit over the top. I think the people you are referring to are antagonised by "their" (that is how it is spelled by the way) team's performance. As stated previously I am just trying to get across the good performance by Tolouse, given this has been in no way acknowledged by the tigers posters.Biltong wrote:Tatterd, when I read back on your comments it is clear you are more interested in antagonising posters, best behave now, thank you.tatterd wrote:you should be "modded" for your one eyed nonsense and refusal to give your opponents due credit for a fantastic 3rd quarter performancenathan wrote:come on mods, sort this out please. feel free nathan. I'm sure Tolouse will be delighted with 4-0. Uphill struggle for the tigers now. The O's can match you up front

Re: Toulouse v Tigers
Pass too high from Youngs again, he needs to work on that. He managed to get it out a bit quicker service in the second half.
Toulouse played as expected, perhaps a little less but that could be due to the weather.
Looking forward to the game next weekend, Haven't seen the Ospreys play for a while so not really sure what will transpire.

Re: Toulouse v Tigers
Again we better a French side away in the first half but let them back in during the second half. Owens could have been managed but we played in the wrong areas of the field. Salvi was a massive loss as we just couldn't apply the same pressure to the breakdown as we dis to the lineout and scrum.
I'd like to see Smith and Bowden come in for Goneva and Allen ahead of Ospreys game. More invention in the centres with more power and savvy on the wing. Not sure what we can add to the pack though Crane looks knackered so we could do with rotating him to the bench.

Re: Toulouse v Tigers
Well as expected Toulouse pummelled us. The only shock was we were able to be as competetive for as long as we were. Eventually Mulipola tired and we then started to struggle in the scrum.
Ben Youngs was poor but perhaps not as poor as so many of his detractors will be claiming.
We got what I expected. It was a brave defensive performance but we offered so little in attack we also got what we deserved.
Still, looking forward to next week. Shame the Ospreys team will not be taking us as lightly as some of their fans seem to be.

Tatterd, there are many different ways to get your point across, antagonising posters is not the preferred method.

He's tough, quality...and a Leader.
Is it just because he doesnt do all the razzmatazz stuff?
I've been a fan in the past, but he's nowhere near that previous form and England selection at the moment (not surprising given the amount of time he's been out of the game). Some of his play was mindless today, and ESPN stats have him down for 6 missed tackles and only 7m carried from 11 runs (Waldrom by comparison carried 44m from 5 runs). I hope he can get back to where he was a couple of years ago, I'd happily consider him in that sort of form, but I reckon he'll need at least the season at Tigers to do so.
