Re: Help - ask your questions here
I'm having no issues either, seems to be a bit more user-friendly this time.

I like the new options, it's much more user-friendly. I also like this function: 14:05:55 06.12.2013

Try clicking the 'switch editor mode' button (bottom right hand icon above) - puts you back on the old editor.

I only found it because I clicked it and didn't know if it had done anything, then I tried to post something and it was back to the old way!

Overall the new functions are good, apart from the fact quoting is realle weird for me.

Re: Help - ask your questions here
Only thing i don't particularly like is the quoting, sometimes it forces me to type inside the quote - a bug I'm guessing, hopefully Forumotion fixes it sooner rather than later. But at least there's the "switch editor mode" button to go back to the old style

Remember, that the changes aren't from us, this isn't something you can blame the admin for!
While I actually prefer the changes, I have noticed a lot of people struggling to use it. I have done my best to edit it where I've seen people write their replies in the quote box.

Why, when I click on a thread, does it take me straight to the final post?
edit: I should say, the final post of the page that I click on

Are you clicking on the small box (either orange or white) at the beginning of the thread title or the text of the title?

Re: Help - ask your questions here
The title. I've just clicked on the text/title of 'NBA Discussion Thread' (which I've never read before) on the front page to test this and it took me straight to the final comment.
I'm bringing this up as something I've noticed and think could/should be improved by the way, not trying to complain about the site.

Re: Help - ask your questions here
I'm not sure why that is happening. What browser are you using for the site?
I have two work computers, one runs Internet Explorer 8 and clicking the title opens 'normally' at the top of the page. The other runs an older version of IE (before tabbed browsing) which has the same problem you describe - for multi page threads it goes to the comment box at the bottom of Page 1.

Re: Help - ask your questions here
Am using some IE, no idea what version, but it looks like it hasn't been updated since 2011. Just clicked on some threads using Chrome and the problem isn't there.
Time to switch to Chrome?
People always badmouth IE but I've never had any problems with it until this, which is hardly major in the grand scheme of things.

I never had a reason to change, but downloaded Chrome at home for a specific reason (I forget what) and whilst I haven't noticed much difference I prefer the way it looks and is laid out now.

Aye, I installed Chrome just to use for the auto-translate function when I need to look at a Chinese website. Have been using IE any other time though. Might download the latest Chrome and switch now then. Join the cool kids.

Re: Help - ask your questions here
I was on a thread, I think, from memory, and I must've clicked something and the next window that popped up said that. A bit like when there's a error posting a comment or when a thread get's locked after you hit post.

- Get the URL by right-clicking on the picture and finding it in Properties.
- Click Insert Image (1) and paste the URL. This will add the [img][img]
- Higlight it and click Spoiler (2). This will add the [spoiler][spoiler] brackets.
The end result, before posting, should like mine in the picture up there.

Been a while since I logged on. What section at the top of the main page has disappeared?
I get the Writers Club, Site Rules & Introduce Yourself. Has something merged?

It's like ForumMotion's clocks all reset as none of the posting times make sense anymore.

Re: Help - ask your questions here
There has been a problem with all of the forums using the software.
You can go into your own profile at the top and click on preferences. In there, you can change your time zone (most peoples have been reset to port Moseby or something!)
I have tried doing it for the whole forum but its not filtering through to everyone.

Re: Help - ask your questions here
Help me someone! I'd appreciate it!
For some reason when I go on individual boars (for example, the boxing one) I can't see any new topics or posts from the last ten hours or so. If I go on the site's main page it'll say for example that the last thread commented on for boxing was the 'Boxing quiz question' thread at 7.17 pm, but when I click on to the boxing board itself that thread is nowhere to be seen, and neither are the others from this morning onwards (I know there have been some posted because I can see them when I'm using my tablet, just not either of the computers I've browsed the site with today).
Pain in the backside as I don't like using my tablet to post! Also, even on the topics I can see, they're not being bumped to the top of the board like they should be when someone posts on them. As an example, the 100 greatest Heavyweights thread in boxing shows as only having five pages worth of posts when I'm on the boxing forum on my computer, but if I click on the fifth page I can then see that there's a sixth page - that's the only way I can check to see if anything has been added.
Anyone else having this issue?
Ta.
Chris.

Not sure Chris.
It's happened time in the past but usually sorts itself out after an hour or so.
Sorry I didn't reply sooner.

No worries Adam. Using a different computer now and getting the same problem - hopefully it'll just sort itself out like it did on my home computer last night.
