Scarlets V Leinster 20/10/12
First topic message reminder :
Travelling in Hope rather than Expectation. Hope Darce makes it. From what I heard initially of Rob Kearney's injury I'll be amazed if he even benches. They are all undercooked anyway.
Only positive I can see is thatwe know the Scarlets pretty well at this stage.
If they lose they are pretty much gone, if we lose we are depending on Exeter to take points off Clermont and Scarlets
Leinster Rugby wrote:The Leinster squad trained in UCD on Monday afternoon with the Leinster management reporting no fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday's Round 2 Heineken Cup trip to face the Scarlets in Parc y Scarlets (KO: 1.35pm)...
Fergus McFadden, Richardt Strauss and Heinke van der Merwe all required stitches for head wounds following Saturday’s 9-6 victory over Exeter, but all three players are expected to take a full part in training this week.
Leo Cullen and Cian Healy both came through their respective comebacks from injury and will be available for selection again this weekend, while Gordon D’Arcy and Rob Kearney are also likely to be available for selection.
In a further fitness boost, international scrum-half Isaac Boss successfully came through the last half hour of Leinster ‘A’s opening round British & Irish Cup victory over Leeds Carnegie on Saturday night following his recent arm injury.
David Kearney and Rhys Ruddock are making progress on their injuries and they have both stepped up their rehabilitations. It is hoped that they could be in contention for the province’s B&I Cup trip to Pontypridd this weekend.
Darren Hudson damaged his shoulder in the closing moments of the Leeds game and the Academy full-back is in doubt for this weekend.

Scarlets scrum backpedalling against what is an average allbeit streetwise Leinster scrum... uh oh.
Another basic error from the Scarlets. They have all the flash of any other team in europe, but no grunt or basic set peice = backline wasted!

Another dull penalty.
Ref couldve given 4 penalties in that phase of play, eventually forced into giving them something.
Is it me or are Leinster allowed a bit more at the breakdown than Scarlets are getting so far.

Scarlets a lot better holding onto possession there and they earn the penalty.

Priestland not having a day with the boot, that conversion excluded.

Awful kick from Preistland
They should have gone for a lienout.
Time for North to earn his salary.

Re: Scarlets V Leinster 20/10/12
Looks like being the 3rd game this year the Scarlets lose because of Priestlands awful kicking, and McCusker has given away about 9 points too with soft penalties

Samson lee having a strong game, coping well with a strong leinster scrum

More errors than usual, but Sexton is still having an incredible game, DOD. Bitterness gets the better of you again.

He has missed 3 kicks. The last one was awful, but the other 2 were from halfway.
If the Scarlets lose it will be because the forwards couldn't give the backs any scoring opportunities within the Leinster half for 40 minutes...lets get that straight.

Re: Scarlets V Leinster 20/10/12
Sexton balls up, gives Scarlets a scrum in Leinster 22 central = Scarlets lineout in their own 22... says just about all I need to know about Scarlets.
Relying on their individuals, but the basics and decisions are awfull, like the tight 5!!!

Scarlets need to go to Wales' old strategy,...give it to the winger and see what he can do.

Harsh on Madigan there. He's gone for the ball and Priestland has jumped into him.

Quick ball for the Scarlets. Something to do with the scrum half substitution maybe.

Spot on. No point bleating about some poor kicking. You can't do well for long without a pack and the Scarlets 8 just aren't good enough. Embarrassing.

He is an Ulster fan, not Leinster.
Though I do disagree with him on this.
