Re: England Squad for the AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS
Watch highlights of Barritt vs Edinburgh for his ability with ball in hand.
He knocks away Denton with ease from a standing start.
Instrumental in the first Saracens try.

MOM vs Saints. 13 tackles, 0 misses.

Beshocked...
Im not questioning that he can do it...im just saying we need to start seeing it at Int Level.
But as ive defended him before...its difficult when hes called on to defend so much.
Lets hope the team as a whole can improve that aspect...and Barritt can show the doubters that he really is a quality 12...

Re: England Squad for the AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS
I think when he's getting better ball from an improving pack (I think we are) and backrow (Robshaw is getting better on the floor) and an inform attacking SH and FH both with a quick pass and the ability to play flat, Barritt will show off his attacking ability. I have faith

Re: England Squad for the AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS
Geordiefalcon I agree.
The difficulty of selecting backs for England is that they generally come from the top 4 sides who are used to being on the front foot with dominant packs.
Chequeredjersey glad you have faith.
I think it's going to be tough for him to change his defensive juggernaut perception.

Im assuming itll be a developement team even though judging by the lions threads we wont be sending many so its means some of the seniors might get a nice summer off and a few of the fringe youngsters could get blooded.
But wheres the tour gonig?
I'm sure i read somewhere that they're going to Argentina? Maybe Argiefan can confirm this?
EDIT: BBC confirms England tours to Argentina on Lions years 2013 and 2017. Here.

Re: England Squad for the AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS
Thanks EE
Well as i imagine the Lions wont be flooded with many from the current England squad...we could either
A) Send a strong team down there...
or
B) Take the opportuity to rest several key seniors who've played lots of rugby and give the young fringe players a chance to make their mark in a tough rugby environment...and improve our strength in depth in several critical areas where we have NONE...like hooker, TH prop etc...

I think we will definitely send young Hookers and props because I am sure we will lose Cole at least to the Lions

Re: England Squad for the AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS
Geordiefalcon I would go with the latter. Quite a few guys will be blooded in the Ais and 6 nations.
Think about it - when fully fit at loosehead we have Corbisiero,Marler,Vunipola,Mullan,Wood. Not bad at all.
Full back - Foden,Brown,Goode, even Abendanon,Miller and Armitage.
Billy Vunipola could be blooded at 8 etc.

COle will go with the LIons...if not then theres a serious rabbit away.
The problem is who do we have at TH..beshocked?
Maybe someone Like Sinkler? Probably too early for Scott Wilson etc...hes not even a regular starter for us yet...
I'd like to see Youngs and Lindsay tour...as hookers

I was going to say I think we will see at least Sinckler, Youngs, Gray, Harden, both Vunipolas, Launchbury, May, Wade and 36 and Burns all going to Argentina in some capacity

Is that the best that England can up with at tight head as back up to Cole? Wilson,PDJ and Sinkler? Must be someone obvious missing.

It's a world-wide problem- every country has a TH and some young pretenders with potential but there are very few genuine International quality back ups around

Re: England Squad for the AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS
Yeah that would work though id like to see maybe...
15.Homer
14.Wade
13.Lowe
12.Twelvetrees
11.May
10.Burns
9.Simpson
8.Vunipola
7.Fraser
6.Fearns
5.Robson
4.Launchbury / Garvey - Both play a test
3.Davy Wilson? How barren are we here?
2.Youngs / Lindsay - Both Play a test
1.Vunipola
Youngs and Lindsay both need to get some gametime down there...and id like to see Fearns and Garvey get a chance to finally decide are they good enough or not.

Beshocked, in a year or two...the real deal Scott Wilson will be there...learned from Carl Hayman himself...and very similar style...but at the moment we are very thin...Wilson has improved under Baths new regime though...and i always rated him...just he seemed to go backwards for a while...
