Our man Nathan has his new opponent, so it seems.

American Shawn Hawk has stepped into the breach following the withdrawal of Clev's last opponent.

I don't know anything about this Hawk chap but I can only imagine the stick coming Nathan's way now.

Is it wise to keep ticking over or is this just another phony fight for Cleverly? How many more chances does he get before he fights someone we all know?

Thoughts? Or any amusing bird puns will do.

Tino, I was too lazy to start a new thread so updated the previously. Comment below to save jumping between the two.

So apparently it's Shawn Hawk from the US for a title fight. I thought the bloke had to be in the top 15 for a title fight, but isn't in the list provided by Union. Another fast one from Warren or a real challenge? I have no idea, but with history on my side I lean to the former. Anybody got any more information on him beyond him being ranked 10th light heavy in the US?

Tbh he is fighting on Saturday, so no-one expected it to be a named opponent did they

Warren is the one making these fights so I guess Cleverly will just have to wing it for the time being

It may have the excuse of being short notice but it does also continue a theme. I can't imagine Clev is building the sort of name that he originally wanted for himself and I just hope that, when he looks back on his career, there will be no 'egret.

I feared Clev will be pigeon holed fighting bums for the rest of his career. But this Hawk feller seems a real contender... 6 foot with a decent wingspan.

If Clev gets passed him, I can see him flying the nest.
