I don't remember yellows against SA I just remember us picking up injuries and SA being far too physical for us - it was a brutal dsiplay.
And I think Owens awarded two scrum penalty tries to England in the game they lost to Aus a couple of years back (the game before we beat them).

This game is being played at about 10x the speed of the Wales attack last night!

Much better game to watch so far. Wallabies have made more yards in the first 20 mins of this match than all of last week's match. England slow to start by comparison.

To be honest I don't think it was ever going to be. Media always hype it up before these teams match up and never seems to always happen.

First 10 I would agree, but England have started to play better now.

I don't know why we persist with Tatafu... he drops so much pill, can't throw straight and tackles with his head.

Actually, I initially wrote "12" then edited it.
Cummins scores in the corner. Finally. A friggin' try!

P-ss poor defence there, didn't come up in any sort of organised line out wide after a dodgy box kick. Aussies deserve the lead.

But its double movement, he has no momentum keeping him going, uses his knee to crawl and place the ball.
Poor decision and lucky Manu couldve made that so much easier by using the man outside him.

That had to be a score after turning down the points in front of the posts. Looked like he scraped the grounding to me, but could have gone either way. Bit lucky, but well done.

Then why does he use his knee to get back up and thrust for the line if he never stops moving?
Once tackled you place the ball or offload, place it back or forward, the use of the knee and lunge is double movement IMHO.
But like I said he shouldve given it for a far less risky score anyway

Really stupid penalty to give away by Aus BTW, to give the tap and go chance. Didn't need to be done. Fair play to England though took the opportunity

Double movement means he would of had to stop moving... he didn't stop moving. Its as simple as that, doesn't matter if he used he knee at all.

Then by your reckoning nathan players can crawl on the floor for as long as they like, 3 metres short he has 2 options, place or offload, he doesn't and uses his knee for a thrust toward the line, IMO it's double movement, and I definately wouldve called it as such if I were reffing.

But he does it whilst sliding, you can argue all his forward movement is coming from the sliding.

True it was a forward pass - momentum anyone?

If his momentum comes from the slide though nathan there is no need for the knee to be used for the thrust!!
I can put it through my software and prove his moment is massively changed by the knee and thrust while on the floor, but IMO that'll make me look just as bad as if I just used it for the Phipps pass

Momentum is calculated in the software, it gives a 0.6metre handicap to account for velocity of player and projectile in motion...

There is no need to use the knee, but just because he did doesn't mean its a double movement! We'll, your software could be wrong... :p

It is a real arm wrestle out their, both teams want to win and not just for World Rankins points either. Australia want to win to make up for last week.
And England want to win because they are at home.
