Warburton Should be Cited for the Tip Tackle on Whitelock
Who is the Welsh player at 10:53 perpetrating the tip tackle on Whitelock, and do you think the judiciary should throw the book at him for his foul, cowardly, illegal act?
I also notice Aaron Cruden being lifted beyond horizontal and dropped on his back, hmm...let me name and shame these thugs so that we may all join in a chorus condemning them.
Update: Identity confirmed as Warburton. It's difficult to see because he tip tackles Whitelock LONG after the ball is gone.
1. The tackle is late : the tackler goes low and lifts from the legs, even though the ball is clearly gone:
2. He continues to lift the player until he is completely off the ground:
3. He then pivots the player beyond horizontal in the air.
4. He drives him into the ground from height, such that he lands on his back/shoulders (bottom left):
This is now almost out of shot, the clock shows how late this is in comparison to the pass.
Open and shut case for an 8 week ban, right?

Was there a Welsh player perpetrating a tackle on Whitelock at 10.53 this morning?
I really think the players personal lives should be left out of this. What they get up to outside of the game is nobody's business but their own.

No (sensible) answer.
So it seems the one eyed knee jerk response to those pantomime villains in black being singled out by the BBC (who could call them into question, right? Jim?), is more appealing than any actual concensus on disciplinary hearings.
Surprise, surprise, surprise.

I'm probably not the first person to say/think this AWOP but if you hate the British Broadcasting Corporation so much (and, by the sound of it this country in general) why the feck don't you bog off back to kiwi land?

So your response to my allegation of thuggery against a Welshman is to exile me back to a country where I can't make points of logic amongst the sweaty toothed, froth seething tirades against All Blacks?

Now I'm going to be banned for raising the tip tackle on Whitelock amidst the frenzy to condemn Hore?
Hmmm...
I think our mods are slightly more even handed than that.

Would a full and unconditional public apology by Davies (when he recovers consciousness) suffice? The whole unfortunate saga has put us all in a very embarrassing position.

awop, not quite clever enough to engage in meaningful debate are you?
Got any Latin for that? No?
Anyone would think you're a struggling building industry contractor who's not getting much work in the UK because you're not quite good enough...
Is that what's going on here? Is it just that you're actually short of being good at anything that you feel vindicated in lashing out so much?
Is that why you live out your fantasies vicariously through the exploits of New Zealand rugby? Is that why you've got such a massively over-active chip on your poor little shoulder?
Got any Latin for that? No?
How sad, you poor little man.
Hey! You could always feck off somewhere else and rejoice in how much you'd be missed here, that would be nice.
Construction is great, working with tools all day...

Check it on iplayer player kids.... 10:53 All Blacks are making a break off turn over ball...Whitelock passes the ball and is then tackled low by a welsh player (possibly warburton?) after he has released the ball ( I guess that makes it a clear out AWOP?) , lifted up, tipped, and dumped.
By ignoring the existance of this action you are actually proving his point.

Saying one illegal thing is alright just because the other didn't get noticed is rather moronic I think. The clothesline was inexcusable and if there was a spear on Whitelock (didn't see the full match) then the man who committed it deserves a ban as well.
But you can't say this one didn't get picked up so that makes the first one alright.

Checked it out and from the only angle I can see it does not seem to go past the vertical. So not problem with it.
If another angle shows different and it is a tip tackle them he will be cited.
Clear enough answer for you.

Agree. Well done risky. Clear, concise and logical. That's how the citing process should be. As it will with Hore. Let's leave it to them/him/her as the people charged with making the decision.

You're not correct.
You are warped.
Even reading kiwi rugby forums the kiwi fans are shocked at Andrew Hores actions, as well as eye gouging Ryan Jones. You are picking up a harmless piece of play and rivaling it.
Jesus AWOP..! Get a grip and admit the blattent truth.
You make yourself look an absolute moron with this post slating Warburton in counteract to Hores blatant off the ball thuggery.

Harmless? It's a tip tackle, by the definition of the law.
Or are you no longer incensed by tip tackles now that ABs are the victims?
Thing is, if the BBC had bleated on about it for 40 minutes the way they did the Hore thing, complete with 27 replays and pundits asking every available Welshman if "discipline would be something you'd talk to them about" you'd be fuming over it. You need to open your eyes and see things for what they are, and not what the media tell you they are.
It's very similar action to the Mealamu/Umaga BOD issue, and we know how heated people got over that.
The only difference is that luckily and thankfully Whitelock wasn't injured.

How about address the tip-tackle in the OP?
Don't live in denial, just look at the facts.
I'm not a poor sport for asking for acts of foul play to be treated equally. I can't believe you are trying to deny there is a foul here.

Again, and I really dont think you are getting this, its a texbook tackle. Even if you look at the capture, number 3, where you state that he is taken past horizontal. You can see that in fact, he is not past horizontal. You have actually uncovered a piece of footage of how to perform a good tackle.

Re: Warburton Should be Cited for the Tip Tackle on Whitelock
A good tip-tackle, maybe.
A good tip-tackle on a player who isn't even in possession of the ball when he's "tackled"...unless you've omitted to check frame 1, where the lift begins after the ball is gone.
Maybe the confusion is that there is a text book somewhere in Wales teaching people this is how to tackle...perhaps that's why Warburton and Bradley Davies have both already served lengthy bans for doing just this...

So now tip tackles are "great"...
Perhaps this IS why so many Welsh players keep getting banned for perpetrating them.
What about Hore's clean out, do you think that was "text book" and "great" too?
Yep, didn't think so.
