I think thats because in 2005 Cech was probably the best keeper in the world, as he was again in the 2009-10 season. Its the same with Buffon and Casillas, when they make mistakes it isn't flagged up.

De Gea came in with huge boots to fill and therefore any mistake is scrutinized.

A prime example of someone being held high when they've been rubbish recently is Reina

Reina had a reasonable game yesterday

Someone not playing to their best at the moment is Joe Hart. He isn't massively to blame for the goals yesterday, I just think he is overrated by some.

Cech shouldn't be on that list, no keeper should be allowed to wear a girl's hat like he does. Pansy, bringing the good name of keepers into disrepute.

Pretty sure he risks a life threatening concussion if he doesn't wear it and gets tagged again.

Thiago Silva is probably number 1.

If you have Bonucci and Chiellini, then Barzagli definately appears.

Evans was great last year, Masch has been the best CB at Barce in the past 12 months. TBH I was struggling outside of the obvious ones

Kompany has been average for the second half, could be included though. Subotic is another who has been great this year.

No soft cushioned hat would stop that, because the impact would have to be pretty severe.

I think Cech wears it for the sympathy vote, and so that the opposition go easy on him. What happened to him was an accident, it's not happened in world football to anyone since then, and the chances of it happening twice are slim to none.

Mark Bosnich got clotheslined in the head by Jurgen Klinsmann, and got up. That old fella in the 80s played with a fractured skull. Keepers should be men, not mice.

Also, not sure there is such a thing as a 'life-threatening' concussion. If there is, and there's a danger of it, his doctors wouldn't let him near a football pitch. Ice hockey players can miss years of their careers before being allowed back, if ever. And he wasn't out for anywhere near as long as some of those guys.

Blimey I'm aggro today Laugh

Not necessarily life threatening in that he would die (although I'm sure it's possible), but repeated concussions are serious threats to health and quality of life. So I have no problem he is cautious about it - why take the chance with that? The hat may be a mental thing, just reduces anxiety or whatever.

P.S. De Sciglio is not for sale cos he is young and Italian, like.

Hats have no place on a football pitch. Same goes for ponchos, scarves, gloves, jewelry, Edgar Davids-esque shades, face masks, wrist guards, lycra shorts, flaps over boot laces, and bitter Man City fans.

Makes me feel sick when so called hard cases like Rooney were gloves. Whenever I play football it's t shirt and shorts no matter what the weather. The way I see it, if you play properly you warm up anyway.

Not because I'm double hard, but because I don't own a pair.

It's ok viva. Jose Mourinho wasn't a good footballer but look at him now. One of the best managers in the world. Maybe you should apply for your coaching licence and in the future you could be called SirVivaPaulScholes.

True viva. But there are some players who once they suffer a long term injury, don't go into them 50/50 tackles incase they get injured again. I think its something psychological that prevents them from playing the way they used to prior to the injury.

Thats true Nadeem, before I'd get tighter on the player but when I played after my injury I tended to give the player a bit of room so if he turned I had the time to move without putting to much stress on my knee.

Everton should be competing for cups and top 5 finishes in my opinion, I don't see them as that team who barley scrapes 17th position infact I am starting to see them as a team who is under acheiving.

Liverpool on the underhand have gone the opposite way, when I see them getting beat to the likes of Sunderland, Villa, QPR I don't find it suprising I find it suprising when they win.

I did just think that it doesn't factor in games played, which has boosted us a bit. We played 1 more game than most, 2 more than some (our Spurs game was postponed from August 11 and played this year).

Here is the points per game table I just calculated based on the points above...

Manchester United 2.37
Manchester City 2.14
Chelsea 1.69
Arsenal 1.66
Everton 1.65
Tottenham Hotspur 1.56
Newcastle United 1.53
Fulham 1.44
Swansea City 1.43
West Bromwich Albion 1.42
Norwich City 1.34
Wigan Athletic 1.23
Stoke City 1.20
Sunderland 1.14
Liverpool 1.14
Aston Villa 0.86
Queens Park Rangers 0.77

We usually start poorly and finish with title fom!! I'm hoping this season we finish the same and it isn't just a reversal of our usual season

This man needs to just be quiet. Norwich fans are not obsessed with him, in fact we really could not care less about his future and we thank him for what he done for the club as we showed at Villa Park earlier this season.

Chrissy Hughton is the man to take us forward. So far he has been a blessing in disguise

I dont even care about him anymore, Hughton is proving to be a brilliant manager for us. The only person obsessed with Lambert is himself and his right hand the soloist

I will love it if we beat them. I'll be there on Tuesday, it'll be a sell out (despite there lot sending tickets back, yeah great support) and I can't wait to stuff em. Can't wait
