Sorry about the lateness of bringing everything up to date lads, dissertation work has been tough. Anyways all of the pools should be up to date. And therefore the current seedings and games for the next round if the tables were to remain the same are;
Heineken Seedings;
1. Ulster (18pts)
2. Clermont Auvergne (18pts)
3. Leicester Tigers (18pts)
4. Gloucester (17pts)
5. Northampton Saints (16pts)
6. Toulon (15pts)
7. Toulouse (14pts)
8. Racing Metro (12pts)
9. Connacht (12pts)
10. Castres (12pts)
11. London Irish (10pts)
Amlin Seedings
1. Saracens (20pts)
2. Harlequins (19pts)
3. Sale Sharks (19pts)
4. London Welsh (18pts)
5. Worcester Warriors (14pts)
So that would give us quarter finals for the Heino;
Ulster vs Racing Metro
Clermont Auvergne vs Toulouse
Leicester Tigers vs Toulon
Gloucester vs Northampton Saints
and in the Amlin;
Saracens vs Worcester Warriors
Harlequins vs Connacht
Sale Sharks vs Castres
London Welsh vs London Irish
Heineken Seedings;
1. Ulster (18pts)
2. Clermont Auvergne (18pts)
3. Leicester Tigers (18pts)
4. Gloucester (17pts)

8. Racing Metro (12pts)
9. Connacht (12pts)
10. Castres (12pts)
11. London Irish (10pts)
Amlin Seedings

2. Harlequins (19pts)
3. Sale Sharks (19pts)

It's very close, if the Amlin stays as it is then I have beaten every other AP team apart from you Drive There are some teams that will push into the Amlin or Heino seedings yet though.

Lol , I'v lost to Tigers , Saints , Bath and Sale this season and i think Chiefs at Sandy Park?
It's going to be a tough one as i had the Amlin down as me main aim for this season.

I reckon it'd be between you and Sarries in the amlin. Another bolt could be Bathite if he manages to qualify from his group. he missed out by a few points I think.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Season 1 - Homepage
No easy games in the Amlin after the groups very slim pickings , on paper after the groups CJ must be feeling the pressure being favorites with 20points picked up so far. (My Mancini press talk lol)
Amlin makes it easier to rest and rotate players as 2 out of 3 games in the groups tend to be against pig shafters from Spain.

Haha, don't think anyone else would do it!
It's close in the Amlin, but there are some great potential clashes in the Heino.
Anyone up for some dealing?

You are second in your group, which is arguay the toughest one going. Still got two games left, so it can all change yet. You only missed out on the possible seeding above by a difference of four points I think.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Season 1 - Homepage
Guys,
It is with regret that I resign from my managerial post (I am leaving all my posts on 606v2)
I have really struggled for time recently, with this site being banned at work. Since my promotion, I am working longer hours and rarely have much of an evening. My weekends are taken up with rugby so I struggle to fit in time to do the basic requirements of a manager - posting team sheets and detailed predictions, let alone doing transfers.
It's therefore not fair for me to carry on. All my sides have declined (London Irishx2 and Spurs) in recent week due to my inactivity. It would be better for a manager to give them their commitment, hopefully you will find one without too much trouble.
I've enjoyed my time on these forums and I hope to pop by from time to time (when working from home!). Take care all.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Season 1 - Homepage
Played the odd cricket version, and played a fair bit of Championship manager, never played a rugby one, but assume it's pretty similar. Had a quick browse of the rules (will read them in more detail later), doesn't seem anything overly complicated in there, so should get the hang of it pretty quickly.

You'll be fine mate.
Just quote the old Irish page(deleting the quote) and create new topic at the top.
Lads will help you through.
It's mainly rugby banter, trading players and then posting teams/predicting on games. Can get away with about 30mins each week at a minimum.
You a Quins fan?

In a dream world, they'd get rid of Farrell. They almost seem like they 'have' to play him. They aren't a bad attacking side with Hodgson at 10 and Barritt at 12. With the gameplan at Bath at the moment, I can't help but think Farrell would be ideal signing in Gary Gold's head.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Season 1 - Homepage
Yea he'll slot right in. Gold is deploying a SA/forwards game plan but Bath's pack just never really get on top.
I hope Farrell can open up a bit, as good as we were against NZ he was awful in the first 30mins and only slightly improved afyter that. People seem to get wash away his poor play because he kicks his goals.

I know Ford has been rumoured but I don't think he'd be the answer. He's still pretty raw and well behind Flood, he's had some awful games this season.
It's hard to think who you'll go for really.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Season 1 - Homepage
All welcome fella.
I understand your point on squad EQ but its kind of relative. A decent AP player may be fine in the AP but our teams are generally more like top Int teams.
There's a lot more than 20 EQ players up to standard. Most of the Saxons/EPS would hold their own (about 40-50 players?) and then you have players outside of that like Garvey, Attwood, Borthwick, Armitages etc who are more than fine.
It's just who they're pitched up against really.

That's my point - hard to play EQs if against top internationals, so means the top few are over rated, whilst good players are under rated. Almost worth having the EQ limit very high, say 10 players, then you'd have a level playing field. Not saying I want that, but if we all posted our EQ 15s, I reckon they would be pretty even, or at least match the quality of squads overall.
I'd be at
Catt / Golding
Mears / Batty
KPN / Tomascyuk
Hooper / Beaumont
Attwood / Spencer
Fearns / Ovens
Mercer / Lund
Skirving / Skuse
Cook
Barkley / Clegg
Biggs / Woodburn
Williams / Vesty
Hipkiss / Mosses
Eastmond / Banahan
Daly / Chisholm
