Leinster v Scarlets HC
First topic message reminder :
Were I Joe Schmidt I would select this team. Although there may be wisdom in starting Strauss and seeing how long he can go for, rather than bringing him off the bench and finding it was not as long as we thought.
Our only injuries are Roux and Browne which leaves us short on tight head locks.

The Leinster squad have stepped up their preparations ahead of Saturday evening's Heineken Cup Round 5 encounter against the Scarlets in the RDS (KO: 6pm)...
Fresh from Friday night’s bonus point victory over Edinburgh, the management have reported no fresh major injury concerns aside from the usual bumps and bruises.
Meanwhile, returning trio Luke Fitzgerald, Rob Kearney and Brian O’Driscoll all successfully came through the game and suffered no ill effects after their respective long-term injuries.
The management are hopeful that Isa Nacewa and Richardt Strauss will both return to the panel for the visit of the Llanelli based side. Dave Kearney and Eoin O’Malley should also come into the frame to join Ireland international Fergus McFadden, who was rested for the victory in the Scottish capital.
With the ‘A’ side also in action in the British & Irish Cup against Pontypridd in Donnybrook on Saturday afternoon (KO: 2pm) it is another busy week for the province which moved from their base in UCD to a short two-day camp in Johnstown House on Monday lunchtime.

Excellent try Scarlets
Fully deserved that. They stick to their creed. Really admire them as a team.

Leinster have 3 tries,
but the Scarlets are only 8pts down
If they had got the conversion they would still be within a score.

We need to release Hell (BOD, Reddan and Madigan) on them in the 2nd half. Bury them early.

Serious (manic) aggression in this game, great to watch! Healy is a man possessed, my choice as best loosehead in the World.
I reckon we will bring Reddan on soon and start trying to quicken this up, not Boss's best 40 of the season

Also true Wales. Sorry for being so biased(cant help it) but yes, Scarlets can still win this game, while we lot (me), are getting ahead of ourselves.
Its the HC. Anything can happen. Respect.

The thing that worries me about Mark Robson is that I imagine him sitting somewhere making up all those wee phrases to use in games.
If they just popped into his head spontaeously it wouldn't be so bad.
C'Mon Leinster

If Leinster keep making mistakes going for tries then it could cost them, but I do doubt it. If this was a full strength Scarlets backline then Leinster could well have found themselves in trouble if they gave up the ball to counter-attack as they have.

Agree with your point on Healy. But yet most people on here atill have Jenkins ahead of him on their lions team.pete (buachaill on eirne) wrote:Serious (manic) aggression in this game, great to watch! Healy is a man possessed, my choice as best loosehead in the World.

For sure. The real World Class players play like that every game. And he has been for Leinster and Ireland for 2 years now. High levels of consistency in every performance. That´s yer man.
Nailed on Lion starter. And he´s still a kid, prop-wise. What will he be like when he grows up? Man.

Don't understand it myself.
I'd have him ahead of any other loosehead.

Also true.
But we are yet rusty in too many positions. Hope it comes together when BOD comes on.

if the egg headed corkman does not get us top two in the 6nations with the resources at his disposal he should be annexed to Cork for the rest of his life.
darcy in good nick too.
cue oh but ireland can never have a backline like leinster as nacewa is not irish brigade. we could be in a position where at least 3 of gilroy, trimble, mcfadden, earls, fitzgerald, zebo will not make the 22.

Fitzy will get it cos hes a back. Ok too. But Jenno has had 2 great halfs. He was a basterd at the breakdown and a brilliant link-man. Has been all this season. Cant wait till Deccie goes.

BODs mere presence on the field makes things happen. World Class is a term wasted on so many. But man, he defines it.

Isa is coming back to his best. As are a few others. Man, the timing was just wrong this year.
Mark. Ya Noordie gobshoite ya. BOD has the utmost respect for Schmidt. Said he was the best coach he ever played under. He is learning new tricks every day from him. Coming from the best 13 ever, that says it all.
