2013 version 2.0 Wales vs England bickering thread.
First topic message reminder :
Carry on your bickering here.
I was going to summarise the previous thread, but going through a thousand posts and ultimately it ends on goats, sheep on your 18th brithday that hangs around longer than strippers doesn't say much for the rest of the content.
Enjoy.

Being a welsh person I think I could say with pride if Wales lose England but fight to the end with a fast flowing game then what else could be asked of the players, they lost the tournament for them selves in first game so enough is enough march 16th be all or end all

First Wales and England get put in the same World Cup pool, now it looks like it's going to be England facing Wales for the slam.
God has a sense of humour.
I expect we will be onto bickering thread 3416 by the time 2015 rolls around.

This is both funny and true. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Wales need to win in Murrayfield and England need to play a complete game and win against Italy.wales606 wrote:First Wales and England get put in the same World Cup pool, now it looks like it's going to be England facing Wales for the slam.

Even if Wales lose in Murrayfield, it will still be Wales in England's way for the Slam (England won't lose to Italy in Twickernam! There is more chance of the Pope resigning!)

That's true. Wales-England is almost always great stuff. And if England are still going for the big kahuna, then Millenium Stadium will be fired up.

Anyone else think the term devalues can be given to this years 6 Nations? No real France or Ireland, Wales and Scotland playing at around 50%. Only really England are trying.

Na, England aren't really trying either. It's only because us playing our poorest is still better than all the other nations.

Can the over-tanned, dippy tarts in their cowboy hats and bacardi breezers get any more fired up?

God a horrible thought. Imagine the offspring of the typical MS attendee (ie the over-tanned, dippy tarts in their cowboy hats and bacardi breezers) mating with the typical inhabitant of the Twickenham car park, braying, barbour clad tory swigging champagne and sneering at the masses.
Horrible.

I'm worried there's going to be a nasty atmosphere at the Millennium Stadium. A hostile atmosphere is good if it puts off the opposition, but I think it might tip over the edge. I hope it doesn't.

But if you go for the non-uk born players that would be England 3, Wales 2.

Enough English blokes get poached as it is, so no need for further gene pool improvement by cross border mating with dippy tarts.
Anyway there will be a queue for frontal lobotomies post hangover, 17th March, to cope with the brain pain from witnessing an impossible result.

I kind of want wales to have a shot at the actually 6n's tbh!! it would really spice stuff up..
but england are gonna win by 30 min.. so your gonna have to win by about 50 to make a match of it..

Inverdale apparently called this six nations the most exciting and best for a long time after Englands win over Scotland, is that true? I was told so i can't say if he did or not.
I wonder if he still thinks the same now?
England win ugly by showing grit in the rain in Dublin in a bore kick fest,
Wales win ugly in a monsoon in Italy scoring tries and the game was dubbed as dull.
I can't wait till 2015 England at the cabbage patch, hosts and soon to be embarrassed.

Anyone watch Highlanders V Chiefs? now that was exciting rugby.
They made the six nations and Heineken Cup look like slow motion, better defenses better scrum more competitive lineouts, the handling and offloading skills were breath taking.

Yep it's a myth that they don't bother defending in Super rugby.

Been watching for the inevitable "devalued 6Ns/worst competition in years/SH better standard" comments from the Welsh now they can't win the tournament...
it will pop up sooner or later.
Probably after Scotland dump them out of the running.

If anything its the ground quality between the SH and NH at the moment thats making it look that much faster. The grounds at all 3 are lightening fast at the moment. Oz and SA are both in the 30's temp wise and we're a bit lower but hardly any rain for ages.

An apocalytpic France, dismal Ireland, Wales scraping wins after losing their way and the usual stuff from Italy, only Scoland have made a fist of it, of course the 6 Natiosn is not devalued this year...and Wales aren't interetsed in 'winning' it, we are only interested in another Slam...will have to wait to next year to make it 4 out of 9

The weather has had a massive impact on the 2nd weekend of rugby. You rarely get weekends with conditions so poor even in Feb. Ireland England would have been a classic no doubt had the conditions been normal.
Has it been a classic 6N? Perhaps not but they very rarely are and the games are still enjoyable to watch. If you want end to end attacking rugby all the time, watch 7s.
