If (I am fully aware this is a big if) Scotland win well against Ireland has Scott Johnson done enough to secure the job?

I was very sceptical when Johnson took over as the interim Scotland manager, I could not see past his reputation and previous results.
I find myself surprised at how we have been playing in the two games so far this year. Obviously there were major flaws against England, however there were also glimmers of promise, especially in the back three. Against Italy we played well against a strong pack, had learnt from our mistakes the previous week in the pack and exploited a couple of errors to win the game with a pleasant, if slightly flattering scoreline, also I did scream in despair when Max Evans came on towards the end.
I now find that I have forgotten my preconceptions of Johnson and am pleased with the way that he, the coaching staff and the team have equipped themselves in the press as well as the overall attitude of those involved in the Scotland camp. It certainly makes a change from the usual greetin' about how we could be world beaters if / but things were different and people give us the chance.
I myself am not that confident going into the Ireland match but acknowledge that the coaching team that is there could help the players progress from the Italy match and improve on that performance. If this happens should he stay?

Let's just judge him on the whole tournament once it's over.
It's not just a question of results either, it's whether he has the vision to improve Scotland over the coming years.
Hadden had an excellent first 6 Nations don't forget. He had a vision as well, which was to make Scotland as physical a side a possible. The result was we turned up at the 2007 World Cup with almost every player in excessive of a stone over his optimal playing weight, with almost zero game plan for back play and tactics entirely based on being big and having Dan Parks remove the leather from the ball.
If, and only if, Scotland win one of our remaining fixtures, then SJ should be interviewed (along with others). The coach that can present the most compelling and coherent (and achievable) vision for Scottish rugby over the next four years should be selected.
At least that's how a professional organisation would likely run things. They'll probably give the job to Billy McGinty.

I have to declare an overwhelming negative vibe about SJ that has grown over many years. Even if he gets you to the next WC final I'll still think he's the wrong man for the job.

He should be interviewed, but coming in and picking up a squad is an entirely different job to building towards a World Cup.
I say Dodson et al should take a leaf out of Johnson's own book and be a bit non-committal.
We're not going to lose him so lets carry on and see how he goes for the time being, then when somebody better comes along we give him the elbow.

2 more wins would put his name there. One is not enough.
