Re: 2013 Mock GM Draft - 3 ROUNDS COMPLETE!!
With the 2nd pick of the 2013 Mock GM Draft the Jacksonville Jaguars select:-
Bjoern Werner; DE; Florida State; 6'3", 266lbs
Went back and forward on this pick. Gave serious thought to Dee Milliner but in the end went with Werner given the noise Bradley has been making about this hybrid front 7. They're going to need players for that and some of them are going to have to be versatile. Werner sounds like he can play DE in a 4-3 or standing up in a 3-4. It's a deep draft CB wise so they go that way in round 2.

With the third pick, the Oakland Raiders select:
Shariff Floyd, DT, Florida
Oakland need to reinvigorate the front seven and generate a pass rush to help out the secondary. The secondary is poor so I was almost swayed by Milliner but he would be hun out to dry in this team!

Well some are saying that could have just been some dehydration issue but guess while we don't know better to play safe.sodhat wrote:I should add it would have been Lotulelei had he not had a medical issue.

Barney said in the fantasy section he won't be around until Saturday, but in the mean time I'll let you all know the Browns are happy to trade away the #6 pick (if that's being allowed this year?)

I think we used the value chart for trades last year.
If you follow this link it takes you to a similar chart on drafttek but allows you to enter the team code on see picks.

Well if we're only allowed to trade picks from the first 3 rounds I doubt I'll be getting a tonne of offers but then I'm not really wanting a perfect 1600 for my pick. GSC which team Cards or Steelers?

i think realistically we're only going to get thru 3 rounds (as last year), although i'll happy to keep going if time permits...
if you want to trade for later picks then crack on, just that you might never get to use them

May never get to use them but opens it up a bit for other teams to offer as quite a few would have to give me all 3 picks to reach the 1600 total (though that can be haggled down).TM Moot wrote:Derbyblue wrote:Well if we're only allowed to trade picks from the first 3 rounds

Which 3rd round picks for the 49ers have?Colan (niner) wrote:derby, Ill give you picks 31, 34 and one of my third rounders for 6 overall?
Don't worry not expecting 3 LTs going in the first 7 picks. Though if people want to beat you to Warmack feel free to trade...GSC wrote:Well I did mock that haha. But no, that was more I didnt like the Eagles pick

I think we used picks from all seven rounds last year for trades even though we only pick players for the first three rounds.

Last year we just traded using the 7 round picks, to keep it simple, rather than players or future draft picks.

i take it that the 49ers have the chiefs 34th pick because of the alex smith trade?
if so, i'll update the order of round 2 and 3 and add it to the OP (tomorrow)

Detroit Lions select Dee Milliner
Was between Milliner or a pass rusher, and just had to go with what I think the biggest need is for the Lions

San Francisco 49ers select: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Ideal guy for the team, can be Justin's long term replacement. Heart issue really isn't a big deal and he has been cleared for everything. I considered Ansah because I think he could grow into 5 tech position and I also even considered Richardson

Re: 2013 Mock GM Draft - 3 ROUNDS COMPLETE!!
Cleveland has no second round pick (save the Niner trade) as it's Josh Gordon from last years supplementary draft.
Pick 5 in Rd 2 for Cincy is via Oakland (Carson Palmer)
Pick 24 in Rd 2 for Miami is via Indy (Vonate Davis)
Pick 12 Rd 3 for SF is via Carolina
Pick 20 Rd 3 for Miami is via Chicago (Brandon Marshall)

Within reason yes, team trading up has to get picks= to or better than value of draft chart.

Re: 2013 Mock GM Draft - 3 ROUNDS COMPLETE!!
Steelers trade their 1st, 2nd and 4th round picks to the Cardinals for the 7th overall pick. (Its about 1420 points, this draft sucks and the Cards want out)
The Pittsburgh Steelers select Dion Jordan OLB/DE
James Harrison is old/losing effectiveness and will be a cap casualty sooner rather than later. Lamarr Woodley had a poor year. We trade up to take one of the true difference makers in this years draft.
