I can't remember Marshall playing at 8 for us? But I know you've a bit of a man crush on him Jen so I can understand you wanting to crowbar him into your team.
Goog timing to get Isa, Locky and Heinke back.

He has defo played 8 for the B&I/A team. I have always liked him as a player. The fact that he can play anywhere from 4 to 8 is a huge plus. Big tough fairly quick. What's not to like? He has signed a 2 year deal too. (I believe) Along with Murphy.

I don’t disagree Jen! He’s the exact type of player I’d love to see become a lock, but I think his long term future is in the back row, he will probably end up at 6. Similarly, I hope Murphy gets more game time at 8.

I really hope he ends up as a lock. He is an outstanding defensive lineout jumper and steals a lot of ball. He is quick and has good hands. He played lock when he was in school and made mince meat of fellas

Tommy should hopefully have recovered from his rib injury and may well be in the team. Ditto Coo and his shoulder, and Gordy and his penchant for getting knocked out... If Coo doesn't make it then Muzza starts and Ed on the bench.
Horne on the bench to cover 10/12 as Wight is not trusted...
Expect
Welsh - McArthur - Cusack
Swinson - Kellock
Strauss - Wilson - Barclay
Matawalu - Jackson
Dunbar - Bennett
DTH - Murchie - Seymour
Hall, Reid, Low, Ryder, Harley, Pyrgos, Horne, McGuigan

Out of Ryan, Ruddock, and Murphy, who does everyone think who is better and who has the better potential. They all seem to be pretty closely matched.
Surely one of them has to move.

I'm greedy enough to want them all. you could also play them in the same back row with ryan at 7 and Murphy at 8.gleesonisgod wrote:Out of Ryan, Ruddock, and Murphy, who does everyone think who is better and who has the better potential. They all seem to be pretty closely matched.

Playing your scrum half on the wing to confuse us. Hmmmm. Or just run out of back three without Maitland and Hogg.21st Century Schizoid Man wrote:Warriors prospective team :-

I think my sense of humour is slightly different to yours. Years of listening to Robert Fripp guitar solos has fried your brain. You should just have come back with a crack about drinking excessively and fighting.

Townsend is saying Cusack and Cusiter are available but short of match practice so may or may not be selected.

I prefer Ryan to Ruddock.
If you had to choose would Leinster fans prefer to win the Rabo or the Amlin? I'd guess the Amlin might be worth more money? But I want the Rabo.
Which mean this game and next are the two biggest games of our season. Can't wait.

Leinster have between 6 and 10 games left this season. (well 7 and 10 really, as they will surely make a Rabo semi)
Apart from the one in Italy I will be at them all. (barring injury or natural disaster)
Looking forward to them all. Especially the next two.

What Jen said. Play them all in the Same backrow. Keep em all. We're Ireland's backrow warehouse, room for all of them.

Yep the worst kept secret in Leinster is finally out. Hoping we get a serious replacement. Not to many at his level in world rugby, and most of them are unavailable.
They have been looking since Christmas though.

Re: Leinster v Glasgow
Irresistible force meets immovable object. Leinster have taken 19 out of the last 20 points available to them and Glasgow have taken something crazy like 33 out of the last 35.
Speaking of immoveable objects, it is huge news that the mighty Coo may be back at tighthead. He's worth a (reinforced) bench spot at the very least - the ultimate impact substitute. Even without him, if Ryan Grant became injured, there's a pretty good argument that Welsh, MacArthur and Low is Scotland's first choice front row.
Thankfully Scott Johnson's slightly strange selection policy in not choosing the superior Swinson instead of Gilchrist and selecting Wilson for the XXIII but not actually giving him any game time means the kernel of our international window squad should be well rested.
Pyrgos on and moving Niko to the wing has been one of Glasgow's best selection strategies ever. Have lost count of the number Niko has slammed down from a wing position this season.

I ordered a Leinster hoodie online at the weekend, 2 arrived today, checked my order, only ordered 1, checked my bank account, only paid for one. Rang them and told them i could drop the extra one in at the match on Friday. Got a similar response.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BOLLIX. Plans were made for me on Saturday with the understanding that the match was on Friday. This is an unmitigated disaster.

Mick - to properly poo in the salad, if you see on your card that you're the murderer, make sure that you say "feic me, so it turns out I did it", loud enough for half of the room to hear.

That coupled with Ferg and Fitz being out is a huge negative.
Darcy looks set to return and O'Malley has started getting some game time too. Thank god Isa is back.

Jen, all three played at the weekend, two (Maitland and Hoggy) were known to have knocks, and the situation regarding other returning international players was unclear - I guess it's now clarified that those three defo won't appear. Not sure about Grant & Weir (unlikely), Hall, Low, Kellock (all likely to play, i hope)
