Surely that should have been a scrum in Leinster's half? About 3 or 4 knock on by both teams. A Nige ignores and allows Madigan a free run

Well done by Madigan, I was worried this would happen, can't see Glasgow winning now, Leinster look like they have more energy.

Fair play to Madigan, with a haircut like that if you didn't turn in a MOTM performance you'd look right a plonker!!!

Dull yin for Glasgow - definitely a chance missed that one. Hopefully it doesn't cost them dearly at the end of the season.
Great game of rugby though!

Draw would have been the fairest result. Great game. And fitting that the winner tops the league.

Bloody hell Glasgow, how did you lose that!?! Fair play Leinster, thats why they're such a great team. So unlucky though, ran out of energy and tried to play too much rugby in 2nd half.

Agree. In terms of pace and physicality it was up there with the best games I've seen in any domestic comp this season. There were mistakes but the ambition shown from both teams was so refreshing after the "rugby by numbers" of the 6 Nations. Love the Rabo.

From a neutrals perspective it was a great match, one of the best games this season. Both teams taking chances and trying to put pace on the game and some great defensive work too.
Madigan and the Glasgow 9 were both outstanding.

Madigans man of the match interview.
"I'd like to think I'll turn out to be a half decent player".
To modest.
I love watching the Glagow 9 play.

Re: Leinster v Glasgow
Certainly feel that Glasgow let that one slip, should have shown more composure when near Leinster line and should have kicked for goal on at least one more occasion. Prior to scoring their try Leinster knocked on at least once or twice in the move. Would have liked to see a replay of the final pass from Horne to Lamont to see if it was forward, not sure it was.
You can probably tell I don't share the seeming enthusiasm for Nigel Owens.

Can't remember the question. Some run of the mill interviewer question about his form. Said he's trying to improve all aspects of his game and cut out mistakes. I rarely see him mae many mistakes to be honest. Despite his risky style of play. He's very accurate.
To Glasgow fans.
What do you think of the decision to take off your 9 around the 60th minute. He was running the show. The Irish commentators commented on it being an odd decision.

It was slightly odd, but Matawalu's basic skills were letting him down a bit - he was good, but well below his normal standard.Feckless Rogue wrote:To Glasgow fans.

In terms of subbing, the pattern in the last few games has been to bring Pyrgos on around the 60th minute and to shift Matawalu out to the wing. It has worked wonders in quite a few games, but we never had a chance to see it tonight.

In theory the right once, since Niko seemed to be trying to hard, and some of his service was shocking. However Pyrgos sadly didn't have the calming affect I'd hoped for...
Re: Leinster v Glasgow
Whoof. So close - such a small margin between winning and losing.
I'll catch the highlights later - well done Leinster - sounds like you made fewer mistakes and probably deserved to shade it. A LBP at the RDS is never a bad thing necessarily and I think that I might have taken it before the match.
Sounds like we had enough to win it but just didn't get it done.

Re: Leinster v Glasgow
Funny old game.... No not the game itself, which was curiously spine tingling. Uncomfortable watching but also breathless watching at times.
When I say Funny old game - I mean rugby itself.
There you had a Glasgow that played such intricately tricky and aggressive rugby and played a direct, foot-on-the-trottle game for most of the 80 minutes
....and you also had a Leinster that played under pressure for most of the game but the heads didn't go down, the willingness to play rugby didn't wilt, the desire remained to turn-the-tide and to force the pace in order to bring about the turn.
What most encouraged me was that the players believed in themselves and went after the victory that was falling away from them. Madigan was the little general not only yapping at his fellow players but doing the real leader's role - leading by example (and almost ruining the day in the process!!!! - that tap behind the tryline could have been a nightmare)
But yes, in the end I was agreeing with Pope who had eyebrows raised at all the inventiveness and downright bravado shown by both sides... and he was the one that made the distinction between how Scoltand play it and Glasgow play it.
Why should it be that way? Why should 'Club' rugby show International (on both sides) how to approach a game with fury and invention?

Tony was right though...just shows how excessive the prep work on kicking can be.
Arms just so, wrists arched, hands cupped, shady eye movements, little half-steps, fly-on-the-shoulder-brush-off (ok, I invented that one myself)....just kick the bloody ball guys

They were playing advantage to Leinster at the time though weren't they?
Still great to see and Madigan was superb

Playing advantage? - Were they? Maybe you're right but I missed it if you are. I was sure it was a pretty dicey move. I thought if a Scot had got that, it was an easy enough run-in for a try.

Just looking back at the game so I'll tell you when I get there.
Just saw him try a dropgoal from the wrong side for a right footed kicker just at the halfway line

Re: Leinster v Glasgow
That was a brilliant game. Not good for the heart but brilliant.
Glasgow can have no complaints, but if they had got in for a try at the death and converted to win, we could have had no complaints either.
2 seriously good teams goin at it for real. If that was the final the Rabo would be happy with the spectacle.
Madigan assumes the mantle of Dr Phil.
I could pick out negatives for both sides but I'm not going to bother.

Dr. Phil would be proud of him Jen for sure.
Just saw the chip, he did have advantage. When he gathered it though the blind offload was sickeningly good!

fair play to the Leinster lads. A hell of a good game which either side could have won. I still think.... rephrase that I haven't a clue who will make the play offs now.
