Glasgow Warriors v Ospreys, Scotstoun, Friday 19 April, 19:35 hrs
First topic message reminder :
Oh well after the disaster on Friday in Llanelli we need a huge performance from The Warriors against a tough team. Do Jackson and Pyrgos carry the can for Friday or does Toonie stick to his guns - how is that for a mixed metaphor ?
My team :-
Hogg
Maitland
DTH
Matawalu
Weir
Horne
Dunbar
Grant
MacArthur
Welsh
Swinson
Kellock
Strauss
Barclay
Wilson
Bench: Low, Hall, Harley, Slamont, Pyrgos, Reid, Ryder, Jackson

Surely Barclay can be offered another contract after his performances the past 5 or so games??

As a supporter of the Welsh regions I really hope the Scarlets get him.
As a Blues supporter, I hope he goes to France and not to our rivals :P

Ben John is a donkey, so slow and the line out throwing is dire.

How come he's leaving (reportedly)? Have they not renewed or has he asked to leave? Very good player. Thought France would be a destination but hear the Scarlets possibly, which seems a bit of a step down to me???

Ospreys have had chances to get back into this game
Not the same team that won the league last season.

Bad luck for him. No offence to the Scarlets but I think he could do better (runs before ScarletSpiderman moderates me........)

Matthew Morgan is on the wing
So that's SHs, FHs, centres and fullbacks they have played on the wing.
No wait, it's ok - he is at FB instead

Morgan should have started this game at FB and Fussell on the wing, he is the only wing in the Osprey team.

It depresses me that Glasgow can take Maitland off and replace him with DTH, and Edinburgh have Lee Jones to call upon...

This confirms to me that Scott Johnson isn't the man for Scotland. How they could omit Barclay and Dunbar from the six nations was criminal. Please, please give Barclay a contract. He is the perfect man to captain them after Kellock.

Tackling optional in Connacht too apparently, looks like Tommy Bowe (who else!) has sealed it for Ulster

It was beautiful. But all credit to Henderson for setting it up for Tommy's finish.

I'm not trying to cause an argument, so please go easy, but has Hogg had a quite game to tonight? Just saw him in that last move but haven't really heard his name before 70 mins.
P.s. I rate him highly.

The Ospreys tackling is really poor tonight mainly from the backs.

Jared Payne just got try number five for Ulster. They're not budging from the top.

Very few potential Lions have enhanced their reputation in this game. Well played by Glasgow though Barclay better than Tipuric tonight.

Yeh I'd agree with that like, not that he's done anything wrong and when he has had the ball he's looked sharp but nothing particularly outstanding... hard to be outstanding when playing alongside Nico hahahaha

Tipuric has been the only O's player doing well
I would say their performances are equal considering the Glasgow pack has been all over the O's at the contact.

Fussell backs his pace - the only player the O's ave who will do that on the wing.
6 tries for Glasgow
All the O's supporters will be shouting for the Blues tomorrow.

Very impressed with Glasgow tonight. Very disappointed with the Ospreys. Not sure which way to look at it - Awesome Glasgow or poor Ospreys. A bit of both???
From a neutral welsh perspective I'd still prefer Ospreys in the play offs than the Scarlets (my 2nd bad Scarlets post - sorry!).

Based on the last 2 weeks, Glasgow should win a home Semi final - but could struggle on the road to Ulster or Leinster

Hogg is a potential Lion & it's a forum where people discuss these things. If you don't want to talk about the Lions that's fine.

I was thinking the same, but after both teams games against Glasgow I think the Scarlets might be the best shot at an upset - but it will be long odds travelling to Ravenhill.
