Re: Lions V Australia 1st Test Line Ups and Comparison
I predict the teams as follows:
15-- Halfpenny --- Beale (he'll be back) - evens for different things
14-- Cuthbert --- Ioane - AUS by a mile
13-- BOD --- AAC - Evens
12-- Roberts --- Barnes - AUS by a bit (but they could pick better 12s)
11-- North --- JOC - AUS by a fair bit (though North might break through him)
10-- Sexton --- Cooper - Evens at different things, maybe an edge to LIONS on a good day
9-- Phillips --- Genia - AUS by a mile
8-- Faletau --- Higginbotham - AUS by a bit (evens if it's Palu)
7-- Warburton --- Hooper - AUS by a fair bit (same if it's Gill)
6-- Lydiate --- Smith - AUS by a fair bit (by more if it's Higginbotham)
5 -- Evans --- Simmons - LIONS
4-- POC --- Horwill - Evens
3-- Jones --- Slipper - LIONS but by nowhere near as much as you might think
2-- Hibbard --- Moore - AUS
1-- Healy --- Robinson - LIONS but not by as much as you'd think
But we could pick a better Lions 15 than that
Oh, and that's Australia 9, Lions 3

This is so subjective it makes it pretty much impossible to do!

True. Also it involves the guessing of the final make-up of not 1 but 2 teams and the form of each player in the future

I'm with Griff, firstly I don't agree with the lions test side, then I don't agree with the Aus test side, thirdly I don't agree with the match ups won/lost and lastly rugby doesn't work like that, If lions dominate posession and BOD has a blinder how is JOC/Ioanie going to live with the 2 welsh wings? Aus certainly struggled to cope with Cuthbert in the summer, he cause them all sorts of problems!
