Well, I'd have to propose Denis Hickie's Wavin Pipe ad.

Jez, that was fist swallowingly cringeworthy. It is so bad it makes the Cian Healy Berocca ad look ok.

But yes, ginge bearded leprechauns is a bit twee it must be said!

Lions ad is good, the irish one is such a cringefest, just showed my irish girlfriend the ad and shes raging !! I also found the Ben foden Swing low advert for the six nations rather painfull, just like rugby video games, movies and adverts, there is soo much potential but delivery is somewhat lacking !!!! We haven't quiet reached complete professionalism yet

It was airing when the Rabo was in its infancy and was called the Celtic League, usually as a half time advert. Denis was big back then and the ad was essentially a building supply company advertising to wholesalers/contractors etc via the target audience of rugby. It was shocking then and has not aged well. At all.
