Healy Cited
First topic message reminder :
Slight deja vu I know, but as the other thread is concentrating on the choice of Corbisiero to join as cover, I thought we should have a separate one to discuss the citing.
http://www.lionsrugby.com/news/11983.php#.Ua99_Zx5F9U
For me the Force scrum half was grinding his forearm into Healy's face, who was lying trapped on the ground.

Not surprised. Sheehan in his interview after the game appeared to be backtracking and quite falky on the subject. Think he should be cautioned for wasting everyones time.

Sheehan also points to the wrong place and when interviewed seemed quite flaky on the matter.
Also what are Sheehan's fingers and fore arm doing on Healy's face anyway?
Really hope this isn't another case of an Aussie trying to make a name for himself taking out a Lion.

Re: Healy Cited
Looks like contact was made.... just by Sheehans reaction. He was quite angry with Healy once the breakdown... but at the same time it also looks like it was an accident. It wasn't faked IMO.
Sheehans hand was around Healy's face.... shouldn't have been there in the first place. If it came into contact with Healy's mouth it looks accidental.
I don't think either side was wrong.. just one of those things. Sheehan probably had to report it post match as had he not done so it would have implied he was lying.

Breaker, I think its a potentially fair comment.
Sheehan was the same guy who before the game said publically "There were a few little things that got under their skin in Hong Kong so maybe we’ll do a little bit of the same."
Then he makes an accusation of biting when the footage shows at best he instigated the incident and at worst he was pointing to the wrong area of his body in an attempt to feign a bite.
Suggesting he is trying to have a Lion suspended with a bit of niggle isn't that scandalous a claim.
Re: Healy Cited
He also did a lot of backtracking when interviewed. Sheehan doesnt come out of this smelling of roses if you ask me.

Read what you wrote again.
Do you think your opinion of Sheehan could have been worded less aggressively and without the abuse? Nobody else writes things like that.
Are you going to continually take these cheap shots at players and countries and then plead "it's my opinion"? You'll need to do better than that.
Remember that PM you sent me? Have you already forgotten what you promised?
Stag, it was more the first sentence which is against the rules. Not for the first time either.
I'm only asking him to "tone it down"... which is also fair enough you'll agree.

Guys, just a reminder, if you want to query a mods actions, rather PM him. We don't just act on a whim, there is usually a history behind everything.
This way it doesn't become a free for all questioning the mods actions and it doesn't disrupt the thread.

I do not think Sheehan was being very truthful on the matter. I question his integrity and it looks to me like he may have been telling porkies to get Healy in trouble. I think he should be sanctioned for wasting everyones time.

not so sure about that... ever flown domestically in SA..
there used to be a firm in SA called 1time.... the joke was that you would only ever fly with them one time.
There was another firm which also went bust... nationwide.... the firm collapsed after an engine fell off the plane on take off.
and people wonder why cars are the preferred method of travel in SA!

I wonder will Corbisero get any game time at all if Healy's injury clears up quickly. I believe that the basic Lions wage is around £50k. Nice wedge for a free trip to Australia.

Biltong,
We need Stander to earn a place in the Munster team first. He has only played about 5 games all year. Has mainly played for the reserves.

There you go Guns, another one for the armoury.
I know Ulster fans have a plan to go to South Africa and spread some mean rumours. Wait for civil war and the country to collapse.
Then claim that Ruan Pienaar has never played internationally has his country no longer exists
Ireland's #9 will then be able to take on the newly establish nation of Bokland in the 2015 RWC Final.
You didn't hear it from me though!

You know my biggest problem with Afrikaans musicians, their ability to put lyrics together is akin to grade 1 comprehension, and they make us all look like hillbillies.
Afrikaans is a story tell language and a crude guttural language and being very explicit for telling jokes.
It isn't a romantic language and not a very good singing one either.

I wouldn't worry.... every nation has their musical pitfalls.... Ireland are Mr & Mrs Eurovision (not a good title to hold), the UK created Simon Cowell, Robson & Jerome, Rick Astley and a whole host of others. and then there is France, I don't think we should even get into that one its that bad
Not that I can speak... whenever I feel homesick I whack on some bagpipe music which only those above the age of 80 would appreciate.

Eh back on topic it is expected to be announced today that Healy will return home. Aparently his injury has ruled him out of the rest of the tour.
Also aparently Healy is one of the few test rugby player never to wear a mouth guard yet the hearing found that the citing comissioner found no evidence of bite marks at all. Suspicious?
