cian Healy citing?
Can't believe cian Healy wasn't redcarded for the flying butt! Presumably he will receive a hefty citing ban?

I hope so. It was very dangerous and I can't believe it went unpunished!

Ridiculous from the ref. He clearly saw it too. No TMO. Not even a talking too. Yellow at the very least and he couldn't have complained if he got a red.

Although it is all English posters on this thread so far I want to point out this isn't an anti-ireland thing.
Simply just surprised that there was so little scrutiny of the incident by Walsh. To be honest it seemed like at that time he'd lost control of the breakdown and was scared to penalise anyone as the game was so close.

I remember many Irish fans defending him over the stamp on Cole's ankle. This incident reinforces to me he has a brutal disregard to opposition players safety. Disgusting piece of play

certainly isnt a anti-ireland thing. Healy is getting a bit of a rep though. Was it last yeah he was cited for stamping?

I think Walsh penalised him for flopping over the ball not for leading with the head.

I think some people said he wasn't trying to break Cole's leg (the idea is laughable) but that's not defending it.

wrfc, what do you think of Hogg's GBH today then? Shouldn't you have mentioned that too, at least for consistency purposes, as this is just coming across as the usual sour grapes. Just let BOD have his swan-song in peace FFS.

Re: cian Healy citing?
I don't think anyone said it was fair. I think people said that he was trying to release the ball because Cole was trapping it. That was in response to people claiming he was trying to break Cole's leg in revenge for being bested in the scrum.

Hogg will be cited because he had a red. Pretty pointless having a 'will he be cited' thread if it's a given.

Re: cian Healy citing?
Many Players have done much worse and are never called a thug. Healy has had two incidents lets not blow this out of proportion.
People can do crazy stuff under the heat of pressure, I'm sure Healy will regret it once he sees it again.

I'm certain if it was a Welsh player red carded, or Healy carded, we would have a similar thread whinging and bitching about the carded player.

Hogg got red carded that's the difference! Healy should have been sent the fact he didn't contributed to Ireland winning.

Didn't Healy get a YC for the stamp last year, followed by a ban? You still whinged in spite of all that. I think you just have something against the Welsh and Irish.

IMO Lawes. About all he does it borderline late tackles (rarely clear and he commits early). Only know him to have been yellow carded for it once. Never known him to strike out at anyone. Only cited once that I know of and that was for tackling without the arms when pushing out a try scoring opportunity (which happens often but rarely ever gets cited). But he's called a thug often.

If only the ref had shown a bit of bottle, this is why Walsh is a terrible Ref he likes to be the centre of attention until he has to make a difficult call.

Well generally he had a good match from what I saw but he could easily have looked at the Healy incident again. As was pointed out in the commentary Ireland committed a series of penalty offences in the 'red zone' to keep France out and although France scored (when maybe they shouldnt) things could have been a good deal worse for them.

Amazing - this thread raised a perfectly reasonable question (i.e. why no card for clear foul play) and didn't involve Wales at all and yet he still manages to read something anti-Welsh into it ...

I have to be honest that I didn't examine his posting history but I have observed that you often seem to be quick to perceive people as anti-Welsh for no apparent reason.
I'm sure there are some people with 'an agenda' but I genuinely think most people that may say team A played badly or the ref made a bad call here or there aren't doing it because they have something against a particular country, but are simply expressing an opinion about rugby.

No, no reason at all apart from only coming online when Wales lose a game (or Healy gives away a penalty) to post sub-standard WUMs. And my posts are aimed at the one with the agenda.

I'm a little bewildered that the ref and ar's missed it to be honest.
I'm also curious to know why Healy did it. There was little to gain and potentially a 6 Nations to lose.

A few isn't 'many' and Wrfc prefers to remember the few. Let not the folks on this thread forget a man called Farrell. More than one suspect incident from him this tournament (another one today) and no card.
Correct - all nations have idiots and they don't have to look the part either. They can look like choirboys.

Healy didnt do much harm and if anything it wasnt intentional. Who knows what Picamoles done to him before. People use the term thug a bit too lightly over here. What's next? Bastareaud should be cited for trampling on Sexton?

No Bastareaud should be cited for 'cheating'! As most of the French players should be. As in cheating through four wonky, bad play, erratic and bizarre games only to show their real organised and calculating selves in the fifth.
Choose a different side to pick on next year. Leave Ireland alone!

This is pathetic, the guy has gotten cited once previously for stamping. If you are just annoyed your beloved England didn't win the championship, don't take it out on Healy.
Calling him a thug is completely out of order, what about Hartley who's got cited countless amount of times(he bites people), and averages 5 penalties per game.Or Manu Tualagi who nearly punched the head off Ashton.Or Ashton.
For the amount of caps that Healy has gottten, he has only 1 yellow card, and you're calling this guy a thug, pathetic!

Yesterday I watched the match in a pretty large pub which was full. I missed the incident altogether. About where in the match did it occur? I would like to go back on iPlayer and look at it for myself.
Maybe it happened when I was trying to explain binding in a scrum lo a couple of pretty Jersey girls?

It happens at 60.51 on the match clock and 1:46:21 on the iplayer clock.
Straight head on head at a ruck. No arms.
He was very lucky to stay on the field.
I will be surprised if he is not cited.
And, Grey. I hope you were only demonstrating front row binding!!!
