Argentina vs England - 8.10pm KO
I haven't seen a match thread for the game yet so thought I'd get one up and going, with the game on BBC hopefully plenty will be watching!
Argentina
M Bustos Moyano (Montpellier); M Orlando (Huirapuca), G Tiesi (unattached), F Contepomi (Stade Francais), M Montero (Club Pucara); B Urdapilleta (Oyonnax), M Landajo (CASI); P Henn (Brive), M Garcia Veiga (Buenos Aires C & CR), M Bustos (Montpellier), E Lozada, (Agen) M Galarza (University of La Plata), J Farias Cabello (unattached), B Macome (Tucuman), T Leonardi (Southern Kings).
Replacements: M Guidone (La Plata), G Roan (Cavalieri Prato), F Gomez Kodela (Biarritz), T Vallejos Cinalli (unattached), T De la Vega (CUBA), N Vergallo (Southern Kings), G Ascarate (Carcassonne), B Agulla (unattached).
England
M Brown (Harlequins); C Wade (Wasps), J Joseph (London Irish), B Twelvetrees (Gloucester), D Strettle (Saracens); F Burns (Gloucester), L Dickson (Northampton); J Marler (Harlequins), R Webber (Bath), D Wilson (Bath), J Launchbury (Wasps), D Attwood (Bath), T Wood (Northampton, capt), M Kvesic (Worcester), B Morgan (Gloucester).
Replacements: D Paice (London Irish), H Thomas (Sale Sharks), P Doran-Jones (Northampton), C Lawes (Northampton), B Vunipola (Wasps), R Wigglesworth (Saracens), K Eastmond (Bath), B Foden (Northampton).
Looking at the teams both sides are unsurprisingly putting out some new faces with Argentina fielding a very experimental side.
For those wanting to watch the BBC 2 coverage starts at 7.30pm with KO at 8.10pm. Hopefully we'll see a good game with some bruising forward battles up front and some skill from the backs in behind them - as an England fan I yet live in hope of the Burns, Twelvetrees and Wade rejuvenation of the backline!

Very exciting young England side all chomping at the bit to stake their claims for places in the AIs and next year's six nations. I think it'll be a wide-open game; England to triumph 20-42.

I don't think this is going to be a stroll in the park for England.
The argies are missing a few frontline players but still boast over 100 caps more in their starting xv and they have a bit of depth to their pl aying pool.
Hopefully our pack can put us on the front foot and we get to see wade with ball in hand.

I'm glad they didn't have to perform that anthem in Hong Kong conditions, half the players wouldn't have had the fitness to reach the game.

England kicked off from the left! no one starts the game from the left.

This could be an interesting game
A strong England second team against an unknown Argenitian second team
Argentina will have to compete with their seconds if they want to build depth for the future in the rugby championship - imagine the All Black or SA second string.

Contepomi still know what he is doing - he may not have the legs or lungs anymore, but he still has the hands and the brains
I would love to see him and BOD together again, the opposition would be tackling ghosts

Those pitch painted adverts are a pain. Surprised they didn't go the whole hog and paint over the entire pitch...

If it helps them make some money to support their growing pro structure I'm happy

0 - 6 to England - Burn's really is a brilliant natural striker of the ball isn't he. Such an easy kicking style.

Re: Argentina vs England - 8.10pm KO
Clever play by Argentina yes, but also infuriatingly idiotic from England. A perfect example of failing to adopt heads-up rugby. In this case in a very literal sense.

Tight head prop shouldn't play centre.

Argentina will be disappointed
england offloading is good - that's the difference between these backs and the likes of Farrell and Barritt

36 really should be England's starting 12
Would be surprised to see Burns and Wade in the starting XV in the autumn as well

This looks a poor Argie team but very classy from England so far. Knowing when to offload and when to take contact and recycle is massive, looks like they're getting the balance right this half.

That's frustrating, should have been an unassailable lead there. Commentator's right, bit of showboating

Wade's passing has created 3 tries
I thought he was supposed to be scoring them?

Re: Argentina vs England - 8.10pm KO
Ball like that, the supporting forward shouldn't secure ruck ball, he should just pick it and go or pass. The ball is still alive and if Argentina had moved quicker, with Dickson's slow to that ruck, they could have stolen it. Good try though

He creates them at Wasps too, why do you think Varndell has so many?

0 -23 to England with some great hands for that last try. It's looking like we may just have to much power in the forwards for a close game though.

Actually having someone running off a strong scrum instead of just waiting for a penalty. Who'd have thought it

It's a weakened Argentinian side. A few guys will be fringe squad players.

They're missing 20 odd players, as they're being kept back for the Rugby Championship. Fair to say their strength in depth is nowhere near that of Englands. Bit of a spanking being given out here.

It only happened because a clumsy second row kicked it forward and the hooker had to nick it back - the Argentinian hooker didn't have a clue what was happening

The English lads look much older than the Wales team that beat Japan earlier.
Looks like the Welsh management want to expose as much youth to international rugby as possible. Will it be a long term benefit?

Disarray in the Argentinan ranks, everyone arguing about whether to kick for goal or not.
