Greatest ever Light Heavyweight/Cruiserweight Champion Qualifier round 2
Greatest Ever Light Heavyweight/Cruiserweight Champion Qualifier Match 2
The second qualifier contains the following 6 'superstars'. I know who my favourite for this round is, god rest him. This round just goes to show that this championship wasn't all about high quality. This round also pits the Guerrero brothers against each other.
Return tomorrow when the next two qualifying rounds will be drawn.
Scotty 2 Hotty - With his tag team partner, Grand Master Sexay, nursing an injury, Scotty 2 Hotty focused his attention on the Light Heavyweight Championship. Scotty captured the title on the April 17, 2000, edition of RAW. Unfortunately, he only held the title for 10 days, losing it back to Dean Malenko on SmackDown! Is now a firefighter.
Hornswoggle - I can't be bothered other than he was the last ever Cruiserweight champion.
Jamie Noble - Jamie Noble challenged The Hurricane for the Cruiserweight Championship at King of the Ring. The two had a very physical battle that featured some stellar mat wrestling as opposed to the typical high-flying action of most cruiserweight matches. In the end, Noble was able to utilize a low blow and hit a powerbomb for the win and his first Cruiserweight Championship.
Madusa - For the first time in Cruiserweight Championship history, a female was crowned champion when Madusa defeated Evan Karagias at Starrcade 1999.
Eddie Guerrero - Just months after losing the WCW United States Championship, Eddie Guerrero switched his focus to Chris Jericho and the Cruiserweight Championship. The two Superstars finally squared off with the title on the line at Fall Brawl 1997, where Guerrero pinned Jericho for his first reign as Cruiserweight Champion, a reign that lasted just over one month.
Chavo Classic - Father of Chavo, brother of Eddie. Just four days after winning the Cruiserweight Championship back from Jacquelyn, Chavo Guerrero put the title up for grabs in a Triple Threat Match against Spike Dudley and, of all people, Chavo Classic. It seemed like it would be easy pickings for Chavo, as he could team up with his father, but in a fluke occurrence, Chavo Classic pinned his son to become Cruiserweight Champion.

Two votes per person allowed on this one, as I can see an Eddie shutout without a runner up through to the next round.

Taka is in the mix ED, these are just the qualifiers. Although it is up to the board to decide whether he was the greatest.

This isn't gonna last 1292 days like the 'who's better' is it? If not then I vote for Hornswoggle, when in doubt the answer is always Hornswoggle! Naa I joke, I had to go for Latino Heat, I can't decide if it's only because he's passed away or he's simply just better. S2H was boss also though.

Nope, two matches a day. The qualifiers will finish Thursday.
The quarter finals will start on Friday and depending what happens over the weekend will finish on either Monday or Wednesday.
There will then be a short break with the semi finals and conclusion of the competition the week beginning 1 July (I'm at the Glastonbury Festival in between).
All in all, 23 matches in total (if my maths is correct, although I might do a 3rd place play off too as I hate odd numbers).

ED, you'll be pleased to know that Taka will make his qualifying round appearance in match 5 (first of the day this Wednesday).
