England U20 v New Zealand U20
Game about to start. Just showing a highlight reel from 2011. Closest we've come to them before and it was a good team. Included:
Farell, Joseph, Kvesic, Launchbury, H Thomas, M Vunipola, Wade and Yarde. All with caps. Hopefully at least 5 will be in the EPS.
Anyway on to today. Can't bothered to write up teams as I'm on the iPad

Please, please, please can we change our national anthem. How on earth can you sing such a slow dirge out of time?!

Usual dim-witted slow-minded England players. No contest really. It's not a great AB team, but it should be good enough for this England team. I think this is the second year England has looked a little disappointing at this level.

I'd say this as well - even the excellent England teams of a few years back never looked to me like they believed they could beat the ABs

2011 was the best team we had and they came closest to beating them. All the others had no chance

Way too much pointless kicking. Unusual for an England side

Blimey a try! Anyone else think Clifford may end up as a 7. Dunno why but he looks like he may have reached his natural size, a little small for 8 but maybe enough gas for 7?

It's what we do at Quins, apparently. Though imagine the pace of a Wallace-Clifford-Guest backrow

An AB forward pass called, rarer than hen's teeth!

Clifford's pretty good at the breakdown too, could follow the Matt Kvesic road to international rugby!

Hammer - there was another really good year we had, maybe 2010? They hammered us. Wasn't close. I think it was a vintage Baby Blacks team though.

The first year of U20 (Cole et al) we were really good but the destroyed us. 2009 we were about the same and they beat us comfortably. I don't think we played them in 2010 as we didn't make final

U-AB's lacking go forward intensity...getting sucked in to this side to side rubbish. They need to straighten the attacks more with more consistent hits. Dropped balls everywhere doesnt help either.

I think the rest have caught up in u20's. Possibly due to the u20 series matches that seem to happen in the NH. Have they been going long?
We have none of that. This tourney is always the first these guys come together as far as I know anyway.

England will only get a 10-15 min window of average BB play to get some points, they need to capitalise on uncharacteristic mistakes

Hate to say it about a Falcons player but Scotty Wilson looks like a fat passenger.

More handling errors than a foam party. That last one was a shocker by the winger though.

Nowell is playing well, but he needs to learn when to hit the deck. He is going to keep getting turned over if he try's to stay too upright.

These English lads are showing the importance of body position at the breakdown. and we are just making it easier for them by going wide all the time.

I'm getting that feeling I got last Autumn. You know...that one where you're beating the Kiwis and are just waiting for them to turn it on and destroy us.

All England have to do is have a rest and a drink, turn round and repeat what theyve done in the first forty and this game is all theirs.

No they don't. That assumes the All Blacks will just do the same they've been doing. England need to come out and ramp it up a notch. I've lost count of the number of times we've gone in at half time in front, carried on in the second half and got battered.

Re: England U20 v New Zealand U20
Yay! Penalty...gawww...long road to come back from second half. I don't see that tthey have it in them unless individuals take up the challenge and risks are taken. England are more than matching the intensity and have some big boys out there.
For us something needs to change big time...not looking good at the mo...

HAhaha, Hammer, me too. Always a sense of 'So, when are the ABs going to start playing and embarrass us?'.
