The First TV Cup - Show interest or your b00bs below

First topic message reminder :

As the music cup has ended I guess we should move on with our lives. And by that I mean into a new competition. TV is the next logical step. If you want in lemme know, I'll give this a few days and try to get someone to make it "global" too.

I will look to someone like Adam or Hero (the old vets of the forum) to make sure my topics per round make sense or are worth doing, I hope not to be too linear with things like "fave sitcom" but not too idiotic with things like "favourite extra from a soap" (which is obviously Winston from Eastenders).

Sudden death...I like it! Maybe have that every round until we're down to 15?

Some people vote for their own selections though, so it would have to be curtains for those with only one vote as well, although this would perhaps penalise those who do not vote for their own, unless there is a slight change to the rules whereby you must vote for your own and one other, unless you are not in it in which case vote for two.

Confused myself now.

 

I think you should strictly not be allowed to vote for your own choices. Not that I'm involved at all, just saying.

I'll opt out as there are so many people. Let some others have a go.

I'm still going to vote and reserve the right to ridicule the nominations for every round.

I found with the music cup that interest wained a bit down the stretch. I'd say it was better to have loads of people rather than not enough by the end of the thing.

You send your nominations on a first come, first served basis. You should send at lease 2 nominations to avoid having a back and forth until you get one that hasn't already been picked.

Bit late on seeing this starting so i have sent in  a few choices for each

Others I wont allow as they are probably not for children - Futurama (Sorry Cheq), American Dad, King of the Hill, Family Guy, Archer, Bob's Burgers, South Park (I have been watching South Park since I was about 10 and my Dad allowing me to can take all the blame for my continuous swearing).

1. Best/Favourite TV Detective or Crime Fighter (but not a superhero or comic book hero)

2. Best/Favourite Children's Cartoon (there's a list here somewhere of things that arent allowed, Simpsons, South Park etc)

Message these to me, gimme a first and second choice if you can.

Gonna message others who showed interest but I havent heard from tonight, give em a day then start wednesday when you've all forgotten as to make it real impactful

I've sent mine but i work nights so if you give me untill 9am the next day you put out the catagories i will be fine (even though i'm at a huge disadvantage).

You'll always have a few days as they get released when the voting for the previous category begins

You sure Boss? A couple quick crime solver answers when youve got a second as i wont put the poll up till the early hours of tomorrow morning.

I have everyone's (except Springsteen's) answers for round one so I'll shove the poll up in the morning. How many days should it run for? There will be 25/26 (OMG ROFL) to choose from. Still two picks per person I reckon. I will score it like the Eurovision song contest, which means I need to find someone extremely camp and unnecessarily positive to announce the scores and compliment the host country.

Ye looks like there's plenty of you for me to sit back and criticise.
