Foreign Transfers
First topic message reminder :
As a general rule, if you want a world class player (and by world class I mean a player that I consider to be one of the 3 best in the world in his position at the moment), you will be looking at between £20-25 million.
For a top international with over 30 caps, £17-22 million, and an international with less than 30 caps £15-20 million. There may be some exceptions to this in the case of certain players, but this will be the general rule.
There will be an upper limit of £10 million for uncapped academy aged players unless two or more managers want the player and enter into a bidding war in which case there is no upper limit.
Bids for uncapped players who are over academy age limits will be judged on their own individual merits.
Current Bids Under Consideration
stnick88 - Netani Talei - £16 million (06/06/12 - 15:12)
anonmattyt - Karl Chateau - £13 million (06/06/12 - 14:50)
Arry - Ben Daley - £15 million (06/06/12 - 12:22)
dammit_chris - Sebastien Taofifenua - £11 million (06/06/12 - 12:04)
Steven_Sharks - Iain Henderson - £5 million (06/06/12 - 11:34)

Re: Foreign Transfers
I've been gutted to miss out on peranara and taute. Would have quite liked Robinson as well.
I am filling up my academy now I think.
domestics should crack on after budgets drop a little.

Re: Foreign Transfers
I've upped bid slightly.
It's pretty tough finalising squads, Smith looks like he could be very special though. Might regret not going for him

Re: Foreign Transfers
had a lot leave the academy age this year which has tested my squad limit. Keeping on guys who aren't quite there yet costs me a few squad places.

I think both have potenital but TKB is the one that fits my team better, if not I'm likely back for Smith

Re: Foreign Transfers
Pete I just wanted one of them, either of them would do, felt paying that much for TKB was a bit ott, although this much for Smith probably is too

Scott looks quality Matt, I think it's generally around 15m for a capped player

Re: Foreign Transfers
Reason I asked was I saw Dennis get signed at 14 and thought I could squeeze a mil off Scott.
Scott is a tIdy distributor and tackler just worry about development of jock players due to set up

Dennis bid was in yesterday before he made his debut which is why it was accepted at 14

Re: Foreign Transfers
Damn you pete to on the ball
Surprisingly for a copper he is a stickler for the rules!!
Dennis went well today.
Apparently hoggs best position is 13. Looks some player. Who bought him ??
Hogg halfpenny Kearney foden Byrne is some fight for lions selection. Byrne had a greet season in France but is unlucky he has a future superstar competing with him for both club and country.
Very hopeful for the lions. Shame it
Will be in Australia and not a proper rugby country

Re: Foreign Transfers
Aus is my least favourite of the Lions tours.
South Africa
New Zealand
Australia
for me.
Think it's a series that the Lions can definitely win though. So much talent to choose from now, the main issue for the coach is going to be picking the right combinations.

Re: Foreign Transfers
Go to south Africa and nz and it is similar to going to India for cricket. Everybody Wants to talk rugby and even the most ridiculous games are nearly full. Last tour in SA va SA b team before 3rd
Test and there was a
Monsoon in cape town and traffic problems but still nearly full.
In australia only the tests will be full:
I
Think we will win quite comfortably if coaching ands selection is
Right

Re: Foreign Transfers
Dont like Gatland being the Lions coach - stickler for it being someone from the British and Irish Isles.
Would love to go on the Aussie tour and the stadium will be full of Welshman left, right and centre - always are with the Lions, its like the whole country emigrates for 6 weeks.
