Rumours on twitter that Amir Khan paid people to follow him..
The rumours started after his followers dropped by over 1 million overnight. Surely this isn't true is it?

not into weight lifting
It is the total weight so it would be 30 kilos each side.

If it weighs 80 kilos total then according to my maths that is 30 kilos on each side.

It sort of died after there was nothing to bash Khan about and only dragged on through our masculinity and Jab machines disbelief

Re: Twitter
Personally, i much prefer to do 2 super sets on the incline and then 2 on the decline, but i very rarely use the barbell, feel as though I get a lot more from dumbells.
Generally I get 2 30KG dumbells and lift them both and bring one down and back up, then the other, then both and that counts as one rep, do around 6 reps on it, then straight after no rest have a pair of 20KGs and just do straight up Dumbell chest press as normal, usually 8 reps and then do it with something light like a pair of 12s.
Also Shah most barbells at gyms are around 10-20KGs, the one at mine is around 15 I reckon, but the one in my house weighs very little, although I got it when I was just starting out.
I bench around 70 - 80 KG depends how I'm feeling though really, though I'm 5"10 and used to be very skinny, around 130ish pounds, now I'm 155ish, pure muscle that I've put on in the past 2 years. You guys must be freaking huge benching 100KG no sweat 'cos I know very big guys that level out around there.

I use the Barbell mainly for Army Lifts and Bicep Curls, generally we run the rack going from 30KG barbell curls - 25KG -20KG-15KG-12.5KG and then 10KG and then start from the bottom and back up going at 8 reps each, that gets a serious burn on your biceps.

Only interesting thing I know about weight lifting is that sometimes people poo their intestines out with the strain.

I was inspired to read up on Schrodinger's Cat, so it wasn't a complete waste of time. Wasn't keen on the willy measuring competition though.

Union/jbw/michaels - I don't think there's any need to mock the gym monkey's gents. If you're ugly with no personality, it's really last chance saloon to get the ladies.
When I say ladies, I mean the sad vacuous floosies that are impressed by musclebound blockheads.
If you're honest with yourself, You'd consider it too if you had low self esteem and no luck with women. Just be thankful that like me, you've never needed to take such drastic measures to get some skirt.
Look at Alex... shamelessly bullied for his effeminate human resources role... Takes to the gym and now he's discussing his latest reps with the cyber arnies... He might even be getting some.

Re: Twitter
Alex has always been tough but his mother was tired of his strutting so substituted oestrogen for his usual Testosterone pellents that are injected into his ball sack to counter the effects of years of steroid abuse. Its just alex recovering now.
Re: Twitter
Sometimes I wonder which HW champion over the past several decades had the most "gym" strength (could lift the heaviest weights).
I'd probably guess at George Foreman. He was just perfectly built for sheer brute power.
I remember Hasim Rahman claimed a 550lb bench but that's obvious BS.
I also recall hearing that Kostya Tszyu was apparently one of the strongest P4P boxers and could regularly out lift some of the bigger guys.
Of course, when it comes to performing an exercise, its good to view how the exercise was actually performed.
For instance, one guy can claim to bench 150kg, but the lift could consist of him violently bouncing the bar of his chest, feet of the ground, squirming under the weight and a spotter heavily assisting him.
Put this guy under strict lifting conditions and he'll be lucky to bench 100-110kg.
I personally know several very high level powerlifters. I've seen a few dish out 100kg on the bench for +50 reps.

Would've thought Bruno, and maybe WK, would be up pretty high in the benching stakes.
Valuev could be interesting also.

Funnily enough it's usually the shorter guys that have the best bench press...Range of motion isn't as far..
Tua would have made a great powerlifter..

Re: Twitter
Truss is right regarding the bench press.
Guys like Wlad and Lewis I'd imagine would struggle on the exercise mainly due their long arms and therefore the extended range of motion. Both would probably be great deadlifters though.
Bruno definitely would have been impressive in the gym.
Good call on Tua. Polynesian people have great genetics for strength.
I also think Ernie Shavers, along with Foreman and possibly Tua, could have had a legit +500lb bench if they had trained for it.
