Disagree. People wanting the best end of deals is what makes deals difficult and stops people letting English go.

Re: London Irish
Parling for Poux is pretty fair if English not such an issue. 5 is tough to do.
People alway want best put of deal but not many will let English go with none in return

Re: London Irish
I have. Gave you Goode for Kitschoff.
I will happily let English go for a better foreign with the Englishness being the balance against the other player being a bit better.

That deal was very much exception I think Pete, Sarries have great academy too so you can afford to a little

Re: London Irish
other thing to consider with English is that everyone had the chance to bid for youngsters - i've spent loads of money on guys like Tuilagi, Launchbury, Wade, which luckily came off, but then spent £11m on Sam Harrison.
dont think any of my Saints real life academy have played for me in this game - but have spent shed loads getting in English - so personally think its all on peoples own transfer policies!

Re: London Irish
Saints have a pretty good stockpile of English Chris to start and plenty coming through.
You already had Ashton, Foden, Hartley, Lawes (ok sold him) that's 4 of England's better players who I guess you'd never part with as they're English.
Only Manu has really paid off in yr buy all youngsters approach (do far)
I just think its hard for teams with not great English to progress.

Re: London Irish
Have to take risks to get good young English players. Academy limits are in place so that the best can't be hogged.
Part of the game is spotting the value of your young players.

That's the thing, not many want to take risks. Got to speculate to accumulate sometimes.

Re: London Irish
i wouldnt say it is hard for other teams, i'm doing terribly in the league and have got a lot of English players - but went for English instead of getting world class players when I could have done.

Not really wanting to let Lambie go mate. Only others than Steffon who interest me for Mullan are Losi or Delon.

Re: London Irish
let me have a think, if I get rid of Messam a lot will depend upon who I can replace him in the foreigns, as planning on offloading Kankowski, so really need someone who can cover 6&8 - Messam does that perfectly for me and impact from the bench.

Not sure on a big deal mate, as have a few big ones going through for the end of the season already. Am very keen on Sisi though.

Re: London Irish
geraghty is definitely available, I have too many 10s!
wont be selling messam though as he covers 6&8 and that will be really important for next season for me.

Re: London Irish
I'm not a massive spies fan, and any of your other 8's would weaken my starting 8 IMO which I wouldn't want to do. Guess I'd be looking at working Kaino in to something.

Re: London Irish
think that deal works nicely for us both there - hopefully Tait will get over his injuries and start for Tigers a bit more, whilst Geraghty should get good ratings now he's back in England for you - he's played well for Brive when I've seen him.
