Not surprised with the result. A few injuries for Barca at the back, no Iniesta & sitting pretty comfortable in the group.

I think the media have gone a bit over the top with the result, Barcelona were awful at the back which in fairness they usually are but without Iniesta they had no control in midfield, good result nonetheless.

Andre Villas Boas appointed Shanghai SIPG manager on £11m a year. Sickening. He's already waiting for the next pay-off.

It's a shame as I do actually think Villas-Boas could be a decent manager, his first season at Tottenham was actually very good. He did well at Zenit as well. I feel like the Chelsea spell is what most will remember him for and could put off bigger clubs trying to sign him up. He's too young to have gone to China but when you're offered that kind of money it's hard to turn down really.

Radamel Falcao showing signs of finally returning to his pre 2014 ACL injury best. El Tigre bagged his first hat trick in 4 years today against Bordeaux. 14 goals thus far this season.

Bayer vs Atletico
Real Madrid vs Napoli
PSG vs Barcelona
Leicester City vs Sevilla
Manchester City vs Monaco
Arsenal vs Bayern Munich
Borussia Dortmund vs Benfica
Porto vs Juventus

Leicester will be disappointed that they're not facing one of the big boys I'd imagine. Arsenal will be disappointed with Bayern again, another last 16 exit on the cards. Manchester City get an easy draw. PSG vs Barcelona is the biggest game of this round.

Ridiculous you can't play teams from your own country, just means the same ties year after year. Great draw for City but they shouldn't unerestimate Monaco who score plenty of goals and City can't defend. Still over 2 months to the ties so a lot can change.

Being able to play teams from your own country would only end in more ties with people facing sides they have already faced that year.

Draxler off to PSG in the New Year.

A quality signing for them, their strength in depth is becoming phenomenal.

Trying to remember if he is cup tied in the CL. Were Wolfsburg in it early doors?

Bloody fuming with Draxler's decision to chase the money rather than go to England and take his game to the next level. Much like Gotze, both have stagnated.

I'm not sure England is taking it to the next level. Sure Ligue 1 is poor, but Bundesliga to England is not a step up.

England would have been equally chasing the money and I could understand an argument where going to PSG gives a better chance of winning the CL.

In England Draxer would be competing in a very competitive league. No disrespect to Ligue 1, but PSG usually win the championship at a stroll.

Messi different level to lady boy Ronaldo. The gulf in ability is massive. Ronaldo could win 10 ballon d'ors yet he'll never surpass the genius of Messi.

Sergio Ramos has had 22 red cards in his career, that's more than Patrick Vieira and Roy Keane COMBINED. I don't think Ramos should be considered one of the best defenders in the world with that kind of indiscipline.

Cost Real Madrid last night and has now made their title chase even harder because they have no centre backs to replace him with right now. Absolutely stupid move. Very dangerous as well.

To be fair Lionel Messi has been in plenty of international finals, there are really small factors that decide who wins those finals. Ronaldo can't even claim the credit for the Euro 2016 final as being that factor as he was injured.

He's been in plenty of finals and failed to deliver, half the time he doesn't look like he cares which you can't say of Ronaldo.

If Higuain hadn't tied his bootlaces together in the 2014 final then Messi would have been a World Cup winner having dragged a crap Argentina team (despite the talent at their disposal) to the final.

I don't see much difference at all in their respective international records and I don't think you can use it as a stick to beat Messi with when the margin between them is down to the fact that Higuain missed an easy chance (laid on a plate by Messi) and Eder scored a beauty out of nowhere.

Messi didn't do anything of the sort, he was poor during the knockout stages, he was helped that Di Maria overshadowed how poor he was with the single worst performance you'll ever see.

Scores stoppage time winner against Iran (one of the goals of the tournament.
Scored twice against Nigeria to ensure Argentina finished top of group
Assisted the winner v Switzerland in last 16 .
Man of the Match v Belgium in quarter-final (including brilliant role in decisive goal).

He did nothing really.

Only thing lady boy does better than Messi is cry like a bitch. Just watch the footage at full time. Messi inspired his team victory. Ronaldo stood there crying.

As for Portugal getting lucky at Euro2016. That's all it was. They didn't win a single match in regular time. Says it all. Ronaldo was Poopie.

Thats tournament football.

Scored the winner in the semi final, was Portugal's top scorer and 2nd top scorer in the tournament.

Don't understand this hate for the 2 greatest players of all time, or this continual debate about them. It crops up every time there is a bloody clasico.

Inter Milan have sacked their latest manager.

Rumours are they're pushing hard to get Antonio Conte, imagine Diego Simeone will be a major name linked as well. Would Conte leave after one year at Chelsea? I could see it.
