Re: Manny news
90/10 is not a figure I have just pulled out of thin air.
I though about this and examined both fighters strengths and weakness, there past match ups and current form. And what they do well against and what the have problems with.
I really find it very hard to see how Mayweather can beat Pacquiao.
Floyd must know what I know and that is the reason for his actions and the path he has chosen to go down.

If you find it hard to see how Floyd beat Manny then you are clearly not a boxing fans.
Manny, at times, is far to easy to hit. Floyd is the fastest single shot fighter in boxing right now and unlike Manny, he uses it to great affect. He is very hard to hit cleanly, fast feet etc....
Have you noticed any of this.

Good thing you don't work for the bookies then as they've all Mayweather Jr as the favourite for this fight. Not by much, but he's still the favourite.
So in summary - your "in depth examinations" which result in you coming to a "90-10" conclusion are obviously the workings of an escaped mental patient.

I thought the smart money would be on this fight not happening.
That what I should have bet a long time ago.
Should have had a monster bet on it.

You're an utter mentalist, quite clearly. 90/10 is a figure you've pulled put of your pants, if not thin air. You're a consistent wind up, but I wouldn't try using that if ever you talk to a girl.

Guys - Windy is having a well earned evening off from the boards. I just checked in and have seen that the banter is starting to get abusive.
We all understand that D4 likes Manny and praises his abilities to the high heavens but thats D4. There is no need to get abusive towards him - take a leaf out of coxys book (never thought I would say that!) - discuss it with him but just play nicely for the night please.
Windy will be back tomorrow - dont make him have to haul people over the coals after a night off.
Cheers

Probably Manny, in the same way Floyd is the best defensively.
I honestly think the first 4 rounds would be close, then Floyd would make Manny eat numerous counter shots for the rest if the fight.

So Shane stand on Manny's foot and pushes him over and you get, "Manny got his ass beat to the canvas".
Maybe you also though that was a great one two punch combination Judah gave to Mayweather to make him double over in the 10th of there fight.

Sorry to be the bearer of breaking your little fantasy again:
Mosley threw 122 more punches against Floyd. You claimed he was shot and out of condition for that fight. He's on 39 year old legs, the first 2 rounds before he was tagged revealed he threw 35 punches at most in either round, in only 3 rounds against Mayweather did he throw less than that.
Conclusion is he came into the fight knowing he was shot to **** and the whole didn't fancy it after the power etc is balloney as he DIDNT come out swinging in the first 2 rounds before he got hit LIKE COTTO DID.
Manny beat a guy that was Floyds leftovers and was even further on the slide than you previously gave him credit for.
Mosley threw a whopping 80 power punches against Manny yet against Floyd this output was over double.
Seems to me that if Mosley was any more shot he'd have been dead.

Taking a couple of breathers in the 2nd round have a couple of big right hands, Floyd has really bad conditioning then.

Who won with relative ease against Marquez...
Comparing the Shane that fought Floyd to the Shane that fought Manny is laughable, just as it is comparing the Marquez that fought each of them.

The simply fact Mosley was scared of Pacquiao's power as most fighters are and they are more defensive when facing him because they know when they throw they are open to the most devasting puncher in boxing right now.

The Shane that fought Manny was in much better condition, no ring rust no overtraining and didn't gas out after 3 rounds.

Mosley's comments count for squat. First thing which goes in a totally shot fighter, ( which Mosley is, ) is his punch resistance.

Yet Cotto put Clottey down whereas Pacquiao couldn't
Mosley knocked Margarito out which Pacquaio didn't
Cotto was stopped quicker by Margarito
Mosley was knocked down far harder 10 years ago by Forrest
The facts don't back up your stance do they?

Mosely was old and shot. The older you get the less punch resistance you have.
Clottey, never remotely in trouble.
Marg was taken out by Mosely, Manny had 12 rounds of free shots to put him down and he failed.
Cotto was taken out earlier by plodder Marg.
I think the facts speak for themselves.

The only legitimate knockdown in that fight was when Manny put Shane down, which Floyd couldn't do.

Morales punch resilience seems to be fine, And Mosley never seem to have any problem with punch resistence before.
And it is cross referencing all Pacquiao opponent and what he has done in fights to realised he is a huge puncher.
It is undeniable.

Not sure that I argued with you, Scott, though I don't recall the contest, to be honest. In any event, your stance in these issues is always thoroughly consistent, and while you can clearly see a disproportionate backlash against all things Manny here at 606v2 ( as can I, being neutral, ) I'm sure that you recognize that it is, indeed, a backlash to the thoroughly inconsistent and oft repeated counterpart.

With the end of Margarito, Cotto misses out of revenge from the man who stopped him first but he still eyes a rematch with Pacquiao.
Since the defeat to Pacquiao Cotto has his career back on track, teaming up with legendary trainer Manny Steward, going up to light middle and becoming champion and making a defence of that title against Mayorga.
So how would the rematch go, is this a fight you would want to see?
