They closed Lineker's down didn't they? Last time I was there it was gone and I was sad. Although when I went there before it was cheap drink and an angry looking clientele they had. I didn't see a fight but I imagine there was one.

Great ball, great....are you kidding me, if that was Xavi or Pirol the football world would be having a standing minute ovation!! That pass was better than Zidane's volley in the CL Final, better than anything Messi has done & 100 time better than Neymars hair.Afro wrote:That was a great ball to Baines for the goal, but I feel I should just mention how good a cross it was.
Baines's lovely cross & Rooney sweet header were overshadowed by Carrick sublime pass to set it all off.

But Lineker's was a bar/club outside of the city centre. Sort of by a motorway/roundabout/bridge if I remember right. I can't find it on wiki but I swear I didn't dream it.

Re: Euro Division LXVII
- I've said the same about Carrick about 8 times, but let's just ignore that eh?Zinedine_Ze_Zebra wrote:I dont need to crucify him, Afro mentioned he doesn't seem to do the same as he does for United. I think Afro is clever enough to understand different systems are played for each team & as Carrick is fantastic in one he isnt so in another. I tried explaining this you you the other day but you were too stubborn (or stupid) to even take it into consideration.
All you do is bleet the same old made up rubbish you think is true. You say Carrick isnt fit to be on a football pitch, passing, tackling & running. There no point discussing anything with you, your a lost cause.
Carrick actually made a vital first time pass from a Poland clearance last night which went straight to Baines. The end result from a lovely cross was a goal.
- The system at United is Carrick sits deep and passes the ball about.
- The last two games, he's done the exact same thing for England. But hasn't done it very well. Add to that, his defensive screening was actually very poor, the amount of times I saw Cahill and Jagielka stepping out of defence to deal with an attacker was worrying.
- No need for name calling, you might be a child but there's no need to act like one.
- What rubbish? Carrick is not a good performer for England. How is that rubbish?
- The Telegraph give him 7/10 but say this "serious doubts remain over his ability to shield a back four defensively"
- I never said Carrick wasn't fit to be on a football pitch passing tackling running, I said he isn't fit to do it in an England shirt.
- There is no point discussing anything with you, because you will never listen to or even contemplate criticism of anyone connected to Manchester United Football Club. Pretty much the whole footballing world is criticising Welbeck last night, but not you.
- We're all allowed to have a go at Lampard, Gerrard, Hart, Walker, Sturridge, Walcott, Defoe - but the second even someone like Tom Cleverley gets a telling off, you go ape. I am actually incredulous at the lengths you go to to defend the indefensible, just because they play for United. I can't ever imagine being that kind of person.

Re: Euro Division LXVII
I'm not sure what Carrick is being asked to do for England and for United is all that different tbh.
And I think you are going a bit overboard about Carricks pass, he was in acres of space as was Baines. That it was first time adds to it a bit, but lets be honest Xavi etc probably do those passes 20 times a game

Re: Euro Division LXVII
The problem for Carrick is that he's United's only decent CM (until Fellaini is settled in) and has been for two years. He's surrounded by lesser players, so looks better than he is. When he plays for England, he's surrounded by better players, and looks mortal. He's certainly an afterthought for England, rather than the lynchpin.

MICHAEL CARRICK (MIDFIELD) - 7
7 out of 10
Fully justified his recall. Intelligent on the ball and rarely gave it away. Crucial as England took control in the first half after Poland's bright start.
Clearly Azzy knows better than professionals at the Beeb.
If you were a pundit Azzy you would be Adrian Chiles, a scummy baggies fan who the nation dislikes
Point proven Azzy Chiles you just dont listen.

there you go making stuff up again. Most ive said on Clevz is that he is a decent run of the mill player, nothign special. But you can continue making stuff up Azzy Chiles.second even someone like Tom Cleverley gets a telling off, you go ape.
hahahaha, making more stuff up. Im sure I critisised his finishing but NOOOO Azzy Chiles chooses to ignore that.Pretty much the whole footballing world is criticising Welbeck last night, but not you.

Re: Euro Division LXVII
Gotta be honest I'd expect any competant CM to make that pass to Baines, in fact I like to think I'd have made it tbh
Like Afro has said if Carrick played for England like he does for Utd, then he's a starter. But he's never been able to do it, and he's a bit of a liability when defending. I mean when Lewandowski attacked on the counter and he didn't even engage him before the edge of our box was just embarassing.
Walcott shouldn't come back in for me either. If he did, I'd like to see him considered up front. He's fairly useless on the wing for us

Im in the mood to remix a new song for Azzy Chiles. Its been a long time since my last hit back in the day when I remixed Jesse J. Feeling a remix of a 1 Direction song for a 1 Dimensional Azzy Chiles would be fitting. Hummmmm

Olly, on the counter pretty much everyone was caught out. Carras should of closed lewandowski down much much quicker though, agree on that.

Oh yeah we were caught out a lot on the counter from our corners, we probably over committed from them tbh.

Okay lads, I've had it with Nick and his insults. I quit. I refuse to put up with his brand of 'humour' and the barrage of insults thrown my way today and all the times before. No wonder Smarts snapped, I think Nick's behaviour is disgusting and amounts to online bullying.
I offer my opinion, and other people's as well to back it up, and I get called a "scummy baggie who the nation dislikes"? I have better things to do with my life than be associated with such a low-life.
Good luck with the league, sorry to dump the rest of you in it
I'll be around the rest of 606v2, but this will be the last time I am a part of these leagues. This was one comeback to far.

Chesney was like a Hawke..... ............
I had an 9/1 anytime scorer accy come in last night, Roony, Jovetic, Negrado & Balo.
Chuffed Balo came on to score, when he didnt start it would of reverted to a treble but as he came on it counted.

It should then list continue, new, or load for you.

Ideally, someone draws you injuries early, but if not then I am happy for you to get them in on the Friday without a goal penalty. I guess just not getting the £1m.
