Another thing ASBO. Who was the big lock we gave you a few seasons ago and he played a good few games for you ? What happened to him ?

He moved there this summer, very reluctantly - he came on leaps and bounds with us, and had turned in to a massive impact player, but he was keen on starting and went for Connacht's three year contract rather than the two that we offered him (he was Irish as well as Scottish qualified, which helped with IQ players or summat)

Earls out with a knee injury. Lualala takes his place with Cian Bohane called up to the bench.

As an aside. Why can no one spell or say Laulala? Feckin "Lua Lua" "Lua Lala" "Luah Luah"
It's not hard lads. Repeat after me.....
Say "loud"......"Loud"
Drop the d and say it again. "Lou"
OK. Now surely everyone can say "Lala" It was a teletubby after all. "Lala"
Grand stuff. Now, put the 2 together. "Lou Lala" "Lou Lala daddy"
Lovely kids. Now just don't forget to spell it with an A when you are writing it.
"LAu Lala?" That's it. Have a nice chocky bar.
"Yaaaaay"

Laulala, so under appreciated by Munster fans. The only guy who offers any sort of attacking threat in the Munster team but yet gets blasted by fans weekly.

Well people want to see Earls at OC again so this was an opportunity. Casey is doing fine and coming into form this year so not sure where you get that idea. However quite a few Munsterfans think Earls is as good an OC as a wing.LeinsterFan4life wrote:Laulala, so under appreciated by Munster fans. He gets the appreciation that he deserves - he was Poopie for most of last season - improving dramatically for the last couple of games.LeinsterFan4life wrote:Laulala, so under appreciated by Munster fans. Earls is still the better attacker - Casey may look good at the moment, but he does about the same as Earls who gets about a quarter of the chances that Casey gets.
Thats why people want Earls in the centre - so that he gets the ball more than he does on the wing.
If Munster don't have more success with getting the ball out wide very soon, I'd imagine Earls will be back in the centre.

I went on Munsterfans after the Gloucester game and he was getting no ends of abuse from fans on there.ME-109 wrote:Well people want to see Earls at OC again so this was an opportunity. I agree I would have also liked to see Earls at OC again. Its a shame he picked up an injury.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Munster Rugby, 25 October
Thats because Munster's style of attack doesn't suit Laulala. He is usually isolated and is forced to make gaps himself. (He usually has great success at it too!) The Munster players must know by now that he likes to offload but yet there is never anybody there to offload to.Sin é wrote:He gets the appreciation that he deserves - he was Poopie for most of last season - improving dramatically for the last couple of games.LeinsterFan4life wrote:Laulala, so under appreciated by Munster fans. Edit: he is constantly breaking the gain line and making line breaks but Munster never seem to capatilise on it. Although I will say that sometimes he does try to make the miracle pass.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Munster Rugby, 25 October
I think that Earls is more dangerous than Laulala (and by some distance the most dangerous option at OC in Ireland) when it comes to his line breaking ability and exploitation of space. However, as always, his awareness of those outside him is what holds him back from being a truly class player.
Given time, I do think he could improve there (and he has shown glimpses that he is more than capable) but it looks as if his chances at 13 are now numbered.

Lualala's problem is he keeps throwing the ball away in speculative passes. Other than that he has been playing well.

Wish I was there. Am taping on Alba/skyplus. Will give my pearls of wisdom after watching, just for a change. Weege back row is truly terrifying. Back three looks deadly too.
Off messagetime. Well brothers, I have had the week from Hell workwise. The Glasgow song thread was great but I couldn't find any jollity to share with you. Tomorrow sees us at Ilford; the place where Mrspip and I made our first home 26 years ago.I wonder if I would recognise the skinny homesick boy who scuttled back to Glasgow every chance he got? Hopefully for 80 minutes tomorrow the only reality will be the smell of mud and grass, the dimples on the ball against my fingers and the voices of my teammates. That should be enough to nourish the soul.

Casey doing alright, some nice touches/passing but still tends to run down blind alleys.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Munster Rugby, 25 October
Hmmm, half time and still 6-3...
We've been disappointing in attack, to many passes not going to hand. Time to release the mad Fijian? (not that Cus has been bad mind, but need something to ignite us)
On the brighter side, our defence barring the Hanrahan (spelling?) break, which was brilliant, has been very good. Very pleased with how we've gone in the scrums, would love one close to the Munster try line.
Hope thing pick up in the second half

JJ has played well. I would really like to see Munster find another OH from somewhere and have JJ playing at 12. A lot of his play seems more 12 than10.

That's am easy 6 points Glasgow have not taken this game - no way Matawalu should have taken that quick tap. There was no one there and the defense was set!
