Realistic Premier League - Page 3 Empty Realistic Premier League

Post by ComeBackKings Sat 26 Oct 2013, 8:52 am

First topic message reminder :

Please be aware that this week's fixture are as follows:

Stoke City v West Bromwich
Sunderland v Norwich
Aston Villa v Fulham
Newcastle Utd v Crystal Palace
West Ham Utd v Cardiff City

Please PM Hero the following (if you are playing myself then PM Nando) before the end of Friday:

1. A easy to read team sheet eg:

-----------------------De Gea------------------
Rafael----------Ferdinand---Vidic-----------Evra
----------------Carrick---Fellaini----------------
Zaha---------------Rooney--------------Kagawa
-------------------Van Persie-------------------

2. A list of 7 substitutes eg: Lindegaard, Fabio, Jones, Young, Hernandez, Welbeck, Cleverley.

3. A list of 3 injuries (not applicable in week 1) eg: Giggs, Smalling, Valencia

4. Clear tactics in a bullet point format, we advise a minimum of five lines and a maximum of ten eg:

GK - Be vocal, communicate with your defensive line at all times, instruct them at set pieces and look to catch the ball rather than punch it, look to release early onto the flanks for counter attacks.
FBs - Keep any wingers on the outside, stay on your feet and block crosses, come forward down the flank when available
CBs - Man mark the strikers, keep goal side and time tackles
CMs - Look to pressurise early, spread the ball across the pitch and dictate the pace of the game
WGs - Work with our FBs to double up down the flanks and whip balls into the box, mix it up by coming inside and dribbling into the box, look to go down easy.
SS - Play between the midfield and the main striker, link up play, hang just outside the box when there's period of pressure and look for loose balls
ST - Hang on the shoulder of the deepest CB and look to drag them out of position, anticipate the ball and look to burst into the box for crosses or one-twos.

These shall then be posted on the board and results will be posted on Monday.

Trebs, why not PM Tooze and ask him if he wants to join?

And if we were to add teams, who would it be? Cardiff + Swansea?

Cardiff and Hull, Southampton and Swansea are perhaps a bit too decent (although I have Newcastle).

Hull and Cardiff are out best bets if we are to get anymore members to join. Unless we find them soon, then it might have to be a no. Foreign's will begin Wednesday 9AM, there is no leeway on that date/time.

How are foreigns going to work CBK - two bids per day? Per week? How realistic is it, does a move have to be backed up by a rumour link or just a very good pitch?

5 Transfers per day, you can only bid for 1 at a time. First come first served. Once you've had your bid accepted, you can immediately confirm. It's all in the Rules I think anyway. But it's got to be something that can be backed up. You need good hard evidence for the most optimistic targets that they either want to leave to your club/their current club and they have a good chance of starting for you. If there is no evidence of this, I can't accept the transfer.

That'd be helpful yes CF. Ok!

Nickis, Top Goalscorers, Assists, Yellow Cards, Red Cards, and MOTM players. Would this be ok for you?

So, got CF on injury duty and Nickis doing stats, that's cool. Ok!

Just need someone to handle Media now and anyone who wants to be the Transfer Manager after my stint this week. The position is available from next Monday onwards.

Also guys, Lubo isn't having a spot in the league. Let me make that clear to you. I don't care what's vacant and whose available but he is not coming into this league, that's a guarantee. Ok! I just want to make that perfectly clear.

A week on Saturday so I feel once we get to the end of Foreign's by the weekend time, people will more or less have their squads up to date by Monday without doubt so we can start then and open tactics and then I'll announce the results over the weekend.

coolio, i think once foreigns begin and people can get a taste of who they can likely get the game will take off. People are hesitant (myself included) to sell good players at the moment without knowing if we can replace them in foreigns.

It's always a risk selling your best players to clubs within the league anyway.

1) Because as you say, you don't know if you'll be able to replace them with a player at the same quality/better
2) They might be players that you won't be able to get easily in Foreign's if at all so it'd be risky.

My advice to start with, maybe ask for a couple of big name players and see what response you get from me and that might give a good look in to what kind of quality players are available and who aren't. Another tip would be I'd look at quality players for the league at smaller clubs and in smaller leagues i.e. Russia, Holland. You might have a chance of getting some players there.

Hero, I seriously do not recommend it. People have been moaning at CF about his lack of commitment, trust me, you don't want this guy. He's the one who plays Gio Van Bronkhorst at LB, says it was a 'joke' to try and 'catch me out' and then when I get rid of him he accuses me of a fixing a result when he was was predicted a relatively heavy defeat in the first place, I think I know this guy isn't the person I'm wanting in my league.

I am LRF guys. Sorry to break that to you. However, I've changed my ways and I know I'll put you back on my side, trust me, I won't let you guys down. thumbsup

Well exactly. I don't really know what this league is about tbh? People are saying it's run by the members, others say I run it and others want to get on with the game I'm very much confused. You want me to be honest, I can't make out what the idea of the league is even though I run it.

CBK that's the thing you don't run it, you just tried to take control of it and railroad it. It's not for you to be making all these calls and deciding on things without consulting everyone else. You're welcome to discuss ideas with us all but can you stop from this point laying down the law.
