Re: Ireland V Australia
Are we overestimating the Australians? They hammered Argentina and Italy. Argentina are a rabble this year and iit was Italys first game of the season. They scored 33 points against NZ but how much of that was down to NZ relaxing after they raced into the lead?
Australia have Cooper and Genia who are inconsistent. The back 3 are good alright especially Folau. The centers are just average players.

Not something the ABs do very often, is it, prof? They usually keep going until they have completely obliterated the opposition (60-0 anyone?)profitius wrote:Are we overestimating the Australians? John Langford handed out the shirts to the Australian players after their Captain's run today. Nice interview with him here

Re: Ireland V Australia
You gotta be honest, 50 pointers over Italy and Arg aren't something we up North do often. That said, I think Ireland have more than enough to win this one. I would expect Aus to go and paste Scotland after that...then hopefully that Wallaby side turns up to Cardiff too tired to perform...

Does Sonia McLaughlan go out of her way to be a pain in the arse to her interviewees, is is it the natural result of being a BBC journo?

John Macenroe plays rugby for Australia now then - or someone's copying his '80s dress sense.

Jaysus, that was lucky. Chilli didn't show much urgency to get to that ball.

Tommy! Watch what you're doing...could've gone in then had you been wider, anyway, a penalty.
3-3 at 12 minutes. Nice work Sexytoes.

Very poor start from Ireland. I hope this is just jitters and they don't continue play like this for the 80 minutes.

So far this has been a huge reality check. There are no quick fixes.

Oh no...the dude who looks like he's in fancy dress gets the first try. Little Irish defence to stop it though.
